Re: When Did Tiles Get Their Groove?

(...) The hears of my yellow castle 6075 horses are grooved 1x2 tiles. My set was bought year 1981. The set was available here (france), year 1979. In those times lego group has used rare printed parts and many stickers. Damien (23 years ago, 20-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

RE: From Screen to Paper Printing (PPI/DPI Question)

(...) No, POV-Ray's rendering engine doesn't really care what the dimensions of your image are. It only cares about what you tell it the aspect ratio is. If you render with a default camera (4/3 ratio) to a square output image, you'll get an image (...) (23 years ago, 20-Dec-01, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.general, lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: When Did Tiles Get Their Groove?

(...) I am fairly sure none of the printed tiles had the fingernail grooves. The grooves have been there for a long time; probably over 20 years old I would say. I think that the use of printing on tiles is significantly more recent. I have a few (...) (23 years ago, 20-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: When Did Tiles Get Their Groove?

(...) Below is the list of part files which could potentially be affected by this change. So far, we've only got grooved versions of the 1x1, 1x2, 1x2 grille, and 1x4 tile part files. At least the 2x2 and 2x2 round tiles could also be regrooved, and (...) (23 years ago, 20-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

When Did Tiles Get Their Groove?

[FUT lugnet.cad.dev] Do any of you oldtimers remember exactly when the bases of the various tile parts changed, to have the groove/indent around the edge? Were all the tiles changed at once, or did it take a while for everything to get into the (...) (23 years ago, 20-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.general)

  Re: Newbie Question

These sound like two different problems. (...) This is 'inlining'. To do this in MLCAD, do this: 1. Open walker.dat in MLCAD. 2. Use Multipart | Import Model... to import leg.dat into walker.dat. 3. Set the Active Model to walker.dat. 4. Use File | (...) (23 years ago, 20-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: From Screen to Paper Printing (PPI/DPI Question)

(...) No, Bram is 100% correct -- the resulting image is distorted unless I account for the proportions of the image POV expects to render. -- Hop-Frog (23 years ago, 20-Dec-01, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.general, lugnet.cad.ray)

"Bram Lambrecht" <bram@cwru.edu> wrote in message news:000001c188be$d8...1681@bl... (...) Good point. Since I've never tried to render a square image, I've never run across this. I'm curious though, why do you need to do this? I figured it would be (...) (23 years ago, 20-Dec-01, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.general, lugnet.cad.ray)
