  Re: To all Bryce users

I am a Bryce user, have been for a couple of years. There are a couple of ways to animate the wheels. The explanation is a little bit more lengthy then I can type here. If you want I can write up something and email it to you. Regarding the plates (...) (23 years ago, 23-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: 30283 Slope Brick 45 6 x 4 Double Inverted

After just a brief look at it, I think it's really good. No flaws discovered. I haven't checked orientation nor run L3P -check on it, though. Just one thing. Its header should have the line: 0 Name: 30283.dat /Tore (...) (23 years ago, 23-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: To all Bryce users

(...) I tried it and was very impressed by the realistic landscape output. But Lego rendering did never come out as I expected, plus the binary file format made it too hard for me to hack. Another drawback is that it isn't Freeware, as POV is. (...) (...) (23 years ago, 23-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad)

  30283 Slope Brick 45 6 x 4 Double Inverted  [DAT]

I couldn't find this part anywhere and the previous threads said to try creating it out of 4854.dat, so I did just that. LMKWYT 0 Slope Brick 45 6 x 4 Double Inverted 0 Author: Jason S. (...) Select item(with one revolution done) tap A to get attrib pane and select animation tab. Select the type of repeat or oneshot etc. Use Motion Lab to add extras like breaking and roll backs. (...) Some winding errors, used OBJ format?. But with (...) (23 years ago, 23-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Part Naming (was: Re: castle minifig torsos?)

(...) S'alright. (...) Great! There will probably be a fair amount of work cleaning up names in the parts library, once we get through most of the backlogged new parts. The first two things (I think) will be sorting out the Castle and Space (...) (23 years ago, 23-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Part Naming (was: Re: castle minifig torsos?)

(...) Steve That's exactly the sort of thing I was talking about. Sorry, I hadn't checked out the parts list on the Parts Tracker. I will let you know if I have any other suggestions Thanks Bob (23 years ago, 23-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Infinite Horse

Hi all, I have nearly finished the Monorail "Train" parts and the next part I want to do is the horse. I can remember that somebody has begun this parts. Could anybody send me the infinite parts so that I can complete them? Thanks / Bernd (23 years ago, 23-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: View matrix used for default 3D view expressed in LDLite terms  [DAT]

(...) A general, reproducible, adjustable, redo-able solution to this is to write up a couple of LDLite's ROTATION commands, and then translate the commands to standard LDraw gdl. For example, to duplicate MLCAD's view, write: 0 ROTATE 23 1 0 0 0 (...) (23 years ago, 23-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

New Construction Toy In LDraw Format

Here are a few very unofficial elements I've thrown together and posted at the request of a few clone-fans. (URL) for the LEGO Purist, I warn you. I pondered whether or not it was appropriate to list the link in .dev, but Ryan Farrington recently (...) (23 years ago, 22-Oct-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.cad.dev)

  To all Bryce users

How Bryce users are there here? How do you make an object rotate while it's moving? Why I can't render properly a LEGO "Ldraw" road plate in Bryce? Please answer my questions. (23 years ago, 23-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad)

Re: View matrix used for default 3D view expressed in LDLite terms

(...) Dunno if it helps, but you can use L3P and find the view you like. The view matrix which corresponds to that view can then be found under the Test -> Statistics menu item. Fredrik (23 years ago, 23-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad, lugnet.cad)

Re: View matrix used for default 3D view expressed in LDLite terms

(...) Great, thanks! But I sort of (as Kevin does) need the way to generate the rotation matrix from a dialed in rotation value... if someone has a spread that does that, it would be nifty. (23 years ago, 22-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Parts Tracker - Torso files  [DAT]

This note is directly mostly at reviewers,[1] but Awhile ago, there was some discussion about the 'neck mark' on the minifig torso. I had mis-modeled this feature, including it on the blank part; it doesn't belong there. Also, I used color 24 for (...) (23 years ago, 22-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Part Naming (was: Re: castle minifig torsos?)

Re: View matrix used for default 3D view expressed in LDLite terms

(...) Just my 2¢: The 3D angles (in degrees) in MLCad can be found under Settings>General>Cha...>Documents tab. They are indeed 23 and 45 degrees. --Ryan (23 years ago, 22-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
