Re: Lani / QTVR - can you view it?

Did you forget the link, or am I missing something? :*) Anyways I have IE 6 and most web surfers use some form of IE 5+ so I'd make sure it works for them. I also have Mozilla 0.9.4 and NS 4.7(ewwwwwww!!) for website testing and such... (...) (23 years ago, 22-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad)

Lani / QTVR - can you view it?

I am testing my Lani application and have made a QuickTime VR object of a generic car (180 M). Please look at it and let me know if you can view it. Appearantly, I can't even see it in Netscape, but I can in Explorer (both on the Mac). I don't know (...) (23 years ago, 22-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Smooth surfaces

(...) Wow! Yes, I'd say it's definitely of interest! At least it is to me. :) (...) Heck yeah! Would there be any point to discussing possible meta-statements, to turn smoothing on and off for different sections of part files? Steve (23 years ago, 21-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Monorail Parts?

(...) I don't think anyone has tackled those parts yet. (...) One of the best places to find unofficial parts is right here, in lugnet.cad.dat.parts. Also check Tore's temporary parts tracker, (URL) the new LDraw.org Parts Tracker, (...) (23 years ago, 21-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: LDAO - Another download site

(...) Can you be more specific about the error message you're getting? General stuff you can try: 1. Check your hard drive for errors. You know, with Scandisk or Norton Disk Doctor or whatever. 2. Uninstall and reinstall LDAO. 3. Search your hard (...) (23 years ago, 21-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad)

Question on veiwing DAT files in MLcad

Hi everyone. I just wanted to know if anyone could tell me how to veiw a file like this in MLcad. Thanks. (URL) (23 years ago, 21-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Smooth surfaces

(...) Another idea is to choose different angles depending on how long the edges are next to that angle. For longer edges, a smaller bend is more likely to be a real crease. I used to use this sort of heuristic in edge detection image processing (...) (23 years ago, 21-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Spinning Wheels  [DAT]

In my work for animation, I need a standard for wheels location and rotation. I also want information on radius for each assembly (1 wheel + 1 tyre) to be able to calculate rotation angle based on the movement of parent vehicle object. As a car has (...)   Re: Removing confusing metacommands (Was: NEW: MLCAD V2.10)

LDAO's editor has a LDL2DAT function (on the tools menu). To translate, edit your dat file, highlight the lines you want to translate (in this case, the entire file), and pick LDL2DAT from the menu. Steve (...) (23 years ago, 20-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  LDAO - Another download site

I've gotten quite a bit of email from people who cannot download LDraw Add-On from its website. After a hefty amount of procastination, I've posted the installation file at an alternate location. There's not yet a link on the main site to the (...) (23 years ago, 20-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Mosque, minifig scale

  Re: NEW: MLCAD V2.10

I've found the bug already - it's realy a small thing. But since I didn't find many people using this commands I didn't have enough files available for testing. That's wy it wasn't tested so good. There will be a small update the next days. Regards, (...) (23 years ago, 20-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.mlcad)

(...) LOL! I just love it! Reminds me of the times I visited Turkey and Syria. It's more than ten years since, but I still can hear the prayers from underdimentioned loudspeakers. Very nice model! /Tore (23 years ago, 20-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: Removing confusing metacommands (Was: NEW: MLCAD V2.10)

(...) Apparently this also works in ldglite as long as you use the ldlite parser. I just tried it and mlcad seemed happy with the resulting file.
