Re: LCAD for Risc-OS (was LCAD/LDraw.org Formal Organization)

(...) You don't need bunzip2 or wget. You do need a browser and way to unzip ordinary .zip files. When I said the installation should be similar to the "ldglite for linux" instructions on ldraw.org, I meant for you to follow them loosly but (...) (24 years ago, 2-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Overlapping linetypes?

(...) As long as the overlapping areas are coplanar and use the same color, this approach is valid. I frequently use this approach to draw rings, when there isn't a single ring primitive which fits my needs. Steve (24 years ago, 2-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: LCAD for Risc-OS (was LCAD/LDraw.org Formal Organization)

Sorry to come back to this again. Don, I looked at the instrcutions and noted that it needs the tools wget and buzinp2 to get the source archive.(I am assuming these are Linux tools). As my Arc is an emularted (via Red Squirel) I was wondering if it (...) (24 years ago, 2-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Current version of ML-CAD

Delay I guess being caused by Michael having a baby boy at Christmas (see Merry Christmas posting on 23rd Dec, only just read it), I've got a 17 month old daughter so I know how much of a handful they can be for the first few months/years! (...) Excellent, Jeremy! The spider 'mech is really awesome (gee.. wonder why I like it. <G>). The howitzer is great - I don't think I'd care to be on the business end. You've given me some ideas.   Re: Current version of ML-CAD

Current version is 1.99R1 AFAIK so I guess you're on the latest release - MLCad development seems to have been a little quiet lately :( Dan (24 years ago, 1-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Export to 3d models

i wonder if mlcad will have export to 3ds or obj feature later on? currently i use leocad for that but i prefer to use same app for design as export. -- And they said 'Computers will never be in general use' (24 years ago, 2-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: Need part number for a dangerous predator

The latest update to the cat part: This version contains edge lines, and some adjustments to the face. I rounded out the cheeks a little more, and adjusted the mouth line. Still to do: I have to split two quads into a quad and a triangle each. I (...) (24 years ago, 2-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Edger utility available

Wouldn't you know it--there was a minor bug in the code. The edger in its first version would sometimes lock up when checking for overlapping lines in certain cases. I've updated it again to get rid of that bug, so now it's on version 0.6. (URL) you (...) (24 years ago, 2-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Overlapping linetypes?

For some of the more complicated designs on patterened elements, the path of least resistance suggests to me that a certain amount of overlap by two linetype statements of the same color might be the most efficient way of covering an area. As a (...) (24 years ago, 1-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)
