  Re: neck-mark for 973 files

(...) I sent fixes for all the currently released torsos to Steve in November 2000 and the revised 973s01.dat has a commented out section indicating how the neck mark should be coded, just as it does for the fron/rear faces - viz. 0 Uncomment for (...)   neck-mark for 973 files

Steve, Have you received updated DAT files for all of the minifig torso patterns, yet, for the change in how we do the neck-marks? If not, which ones still need to be changed? Did I ever offer this suggestion, that instead of hard-coding the actual (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: bryce and ldraw

Yes, it can be done. I use Bryce4 for my rendering work. What I have found is that the DXF converter works by grouping colored parts together. The transparent pieces need to be of a different color so the converter will single out those particular (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: 'Article from Tommorow' < Warning Speculative!!>

(...) Yeah, I still prefer using the original version of LDraw. MLCad uses too many of my system resources. I wish someone would update LDraw!!! Mike (24 years ago, 27-Jan-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Diablo-style RPG?

Hey, Anyone interested in creating a Diablo-style RPG using LDraw? I sorta know how to do it using the freeware Dink Smallwood engine. It wouldn't be too hard, just time-consuming. Plus, to all you long-term, quasi-professional LDraw & Lugnet (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Windows 2000 and MIME Types?

I finally decided to update my MIME types for DAT files on my computer - and I can't seem to get to the MIME type setting in Windows 2000. Anyone know how to set the mime type to application/x-ldraw? I can't even tell if that is set on there or not. (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: ldarw website down

(...) It appears to be down for me too. In my case, its probably the across the pond deal. Guess we'll have to wait it out. -Tim (24 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: ldarw website down

Re: Another "Has this part been made"...

I'll second that notion. I'm sure there are parts out there that people aren't entering into the parts tracker. Of course, they'd have to post a message to the newsgroup... Also, "Is this part available" messages posted here and to cad.dat.parts (...) (24 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Ring-r.dat primitives ?

(...) In short, yes. The "ring-N.dat" primitive has an Inner Radius of (N) and an Outer Radius of (N+1). Thus, the primitive "ring-3.dat" has an Inner Radius of 3 and an Outer Radius of 4. By doubling the X and Z rows of the rotation matrix, you (...) (24 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Ring-r.dat primitives ?

Hello I need some help understanding the Ring-r.dat primitives: What does "1 16 0 0 0 2 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 2 ring3.dat" mean ? Is it a ring with (radius 3 and ring-width 1)x 2, thus giving a ring with radius 6 and ring-width 2 ? Thanks Henrik (24 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad)
