  Re: rotation matrices  [DAT]

(...) Are you really sure? cause I looked at this file from Fredrik Glockner as an example about the studs to ad in the beginning and end of my curve and it says: 1 16 -90 40 0 0 5 0 -1 0 0 0 0 1 STUD3A.DAT 1 16 20 0 -90 0 0 1 1 0 0 0 5 0 (...) (24 years ago, 19-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Patterned Parts Numbering

(...) True, but since these are merely parts files and as such will reside in the LDRAW\PARTS directory, I think the *type* of file will be obvious. I agree this certainly feels like a "bad thing" at first, but it does give you a lot more characters (...) (24 years ago, 19-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Patterned Parts Numbering

(...) I'd rather not encode file-nameish data into the file-extension. That feels like a bad thing to do -- extensions indicate the *type* of file, not the specific file. I realize that "DAT" is not the greatest extension in the world, as it's far (...) (24 years ago, 19-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: rotation matrices

(...) One (or more) of the three I mentioned. I'd be thinking more about angles, and building the segments, then putting the segments into place. Probably more of a manual process than an automatic one. Steve (24 years ago, 19-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Problem with the description of part 30382.

First sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. Anyway I think the description for this part is wrong. (URL) currently says: "Wedge 2 x 12 Triple" I believe it should be: "Wedge 2 x 16 Triple" Please let me know if I should have posted this (...) (24 years ago, 19-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Ldglite version 0.7.1 released.

What with all the new LCAD program releases lately, I feel compelled to release yet another version of ldglite. (Version 0.7.1) It's not really any closer to the real thing (hence the .1) but I had a lot of fun adding more spinning stuff. The latest (...) (24 years ago, 19-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: How exactly does one make the hose thingie bend when using Ldraw?

  Re: 32308 Technic Liftarm 3 x 7 x 2 Y shape

This part looks fine to me. I just have one comment regarding the name, though. The shape of the part reminds me more of an "H" than a "Y". What do other people think? Fredrik (24 years ago, 19-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Bug in MLCad Release V1.99

It seems there is a crash-bug in the new release. I got already two error reports, but I cannot reproduce it with Windows NT. Can someone tell me if she/he has problems with the new release?   Re: Patterned Parts Numbering

(...) Yes. As long as you specify the extension, LDraw doesn't care what it is. LEdit might be a different story, I don't know. (...) Don't use MAKELIST, it can't handle more than 1000 parts.
