Alternative possible hi-res sphere primitive  [DAT]

Please read my previous post regarding a possible replacement for 1-8sphe.dat. This post will make more sense if you do. Once I got my sphere tesselation algorithm to work, it was straightforward to generate a hi-res version of the sphere primitive. (...) (24 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

  Possible replacement for 1-8sphe.dat  [DAT]

I started a discussion on the .dev group regarding sphere tesselation a little while back, and it came out that there is some dissatisfaction with the current sphere primitive. I have finished the code which generates a replacement sphere primitive, (...) (24 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

They are doing some construction work at the petrol station thats next to the bus stop where I wait for the bus home from university and they had one of these there. When I saw it I thought "datsville constructions needs one of those". So here it (...) (24 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Re: Parts license

(...) Not parts, because all files in the library (parts, primitives, subparts, shortcuts, composite parts, component parts) should be covered equally by the terms. But I see your point about avoiding DAT. How about I just remove the DAT? . LIBRARY: (...) (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Parts license

(...) I think 2 means Ldraw.org has the right to chose what to keep and 7 means that the work will become part of the Ldraw.org library (and probably "protected" by the license). Although they are related for sure. Jude (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Parts license

(...) I think we should have something saying that if a person updates a .dat file then they must also make the changes available to ldraw.org under this license (and ldraw.org might accept the changes or not). (...) I don't think that's needed, (...) (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Parts license

(...) Instead of DAT file wouldn't it be better to use something like "Parts file" ? We might use a different format in the future. (...) I found those 2 contraditory but it might be because english is not my native language. Could you explain it (...) (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  "Step" mode for MLCad?

Hi, In my previous installation of MLCad, I could step through the parts of a model, and MLCad would only draw the pieces up to the part I stepped to. After a re-install, I can't find an option to enable this behaviour anymore, I always see the (...) (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
