  Re: Ray tracing programs

(...) I know that L3lab gives warning about the feature being untested, when you export to povray from it, but I've used it a lot of times, with expected results everytime, and it is far easier to use than l3p if you're not that familiar with shell (...) (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Ray tracing programs

(...) No, LeoCAD doesn't need any external programs to save POV files but if you have LGEO installed, it can use it to create higher quality renderings (L2P.exe is never used, everything is done internally). I'd recommend you to have LGEO, as each (...) (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: A CD-ROM Update of sorts...

(...) I have the linux stuff ready, don't forget to email me when you need it. I don't want to send it now because someone might update a program and I'd like to have the latest version available. Leonardo (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Ray tracing programs

(...) You can choose wether you want to use L2P and the LGEO library (download from eg. www.ldraw.org) _or_ L3P (LGEO and L3P can be combined, but I wouldn't suggest this to a newbie.). L2P and L3P are not related, but the names are a bit confusing, (...) (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: tubing  [DAT]

(...) If the ends are covered, you don't need to worry too much about the end points. So you can take on of the end points and scale it to your needs, as you say. You can start with this line: 1 16 -40 1 0 0 -20 0 1 0 0 0 0 1 76.DAT and change the (...) (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: tubing

(...) Cool. Where can I read about scaling? It sounds like I just need to take one of the ends and scale it to the length I need (in this case a span of 26 studs worth of bricks from one end of the brick to the other). ++Lar (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Ray tracing programs

Hi I have begun walking down the lego modelling and raytracing path. I am modelling up a few items in LEOCAD, and I would like to render them. I have installed POVRAY and require the converting files. Q. Am I correct in needing the L2P.exe (LGEO (...) (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

  8448 - Supercar MkII  [DAT]

This is the completed Supercar MkII (without the proper wheels, and some missing decorated parts). When I get the wheels I will do a major render and do something really good with it. Hope you like it! Brett Neale 0 V8 Supercar MkII 0 LT 8448 0 0 (...) (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

I've submitted the flex-system tubing for voting. Hopefully it will be in the next vote. In the mean time, you can grab them from: (URL) people interested in modeling _bent_ flexible hoses, I have a tool here (scroll down to the hose images): (URL) (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)
