Re: What CAD program is being auctioned here ?

(...) Geez, that sounds like MLCad to me. If it is, someone is gonna get taken to the cleaners for free software. Yeesh. Ben (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad)

What CAD program is being auctioned here ?

Anyone know anything about this? (URL) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Line of error

I have just finished looking through some posted dat-files. And of course they had errors. Mainly because of linewrap. MLcad announces politely that there is an error. But why not tell the linenumber too?!. That would make errorfinding a lot easier. (...) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: 8448 Flexible Axles (was Re: Parts from 8448 not LDrawn)

(...) Found it! (URL) They were *not* introduced in Znap. But the odd length axle with the stop-collar *was* introduced in Znap. (URL) So, should these parts be included in Technic, or should a new category for Znap be started? Steve (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Ah! Thank you, Wayne. (...) From the rumblings in lugnet.loc.uk, it doesn't seem likely -- people only appreciate Znap when it's on clearance. :-/ Steve (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.znap, lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: stl2dat conversion tool beta2

(...) STL only support triangles. Nurbs (and other geometry) must be converted by the CAD software to triangles. That's why I choosed STL : it already contains triangles and that's very near LDraw format. (In a geometric point of view) (...) Yes, I (...) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: hoses

Hi, I've written a very simple but useable hose bending spreadsheet. You enter the angle you want i.e 180 degrees gives a semi-circle arc. The length is consistent. I uploaded a model 6586-98 earlier today which shows its output. I'm trying to (...) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: 8448 Flexible Axles (was Re: Parts from 8448 not LDrawn)

(...) There were flexible axles in the Znap (motorized) sets. But they are much different than the ones in the 8448. The ones in Znap are "drive" axles, they allow the motor to be in one orientation and the item(s) driven to be in another. It uses a (...)
