Printed (Decorated) Tile Mosaic —Eric Harshbarger
Hi all, With all of the 'gray storm clouds' being discussed on LUGNET this week, I fear this MOC announcement may get lost in the brouhaha. But the final pieces arrved from Germany in an amazingly short time (5 days!), so I went ahead and finished (...)      (...) the midst of so much anguished wailing and gnashing of teeth* let me be one of the first to express my amazement at your latest project. It's so inadequate to say it but I will anyway, "That's cool!" I like the fact that you showed the three (...) (21 years ago, 19-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.mosaic)

Re: Printed (Decorated) Tile Mosaic —James Trobaugh
(...) That's very cool Eric. And great solution to coming up with a 1000 or so different patterns from so few LEGO tiles. I don't know if I could have sat there and put it together correctly, I'm guessing that putting the tiles in the proper (...) (21 years ago, 19-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.mosaic)

Re: Printed (Decorated) Tile Mosaic —Adrian Drake
(...) Fabulous! I remember having discussions with you about this at Brickfest this year and thinking you were truly insane to undertake such a project. The result looks great!      (...) Eric, once again you've shown us a unique use for LEGO (and Java code! *grin*). Your gift for seeing possibilities in the LEGO medium is something that most of us just don't have. Keep up the great work! JohnG, GMLTC (21 years ago, 19-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.mosaic)

Re: Printed (Decorated) Tile Mosaic —Tim David
Very Cool What I find interesting was that most of the tiles are fairly similar in colour, especially the base (ABS) colours, being mainly white, grey and and black and yet the program has identified the ones to use to get the right colours on the (...)          Re: Printed (Decorated) Tile Mosaic —Eric Harshbarger
If I remember correctly, I set the program so that there would be no repeats of the 2x2 tile combinations. However, since I modified by hand somewhat after the program ran, there may be some duplicated configurations. Yes, I cleared out a (...) (21 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.mosaic)

(...) Derek, youve gone too far this time! Kevin?! KEVIN?! How dare you, you rat-bastard! I'm both outraged and offended. You can be sure that I will refer your offensive name-calling to T. Lehman. Also...if my name was Kevin, and if my mom was that (...) (21 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.mosaic)

Re: Printed (Decorated) Tile Mosaic —Derek Schin
(...) Yeah, Keith I wasn't talking about YOUR mom, I was talking about KEVIN'S mom...we all know that it would take a mosaic of about, oh, say, 3000 studs across to accurately portray yo' mama's bulk. But, yeah, sorry 'bout that. I shouldn't post (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.mosaic)
