Another approach that a friend of mine and I were considering was coming up with
some sort of averaged-color value for each printed tile and then creating such a
mosaic in the more traditional way, although that would require some pretty
heady tile tracking - not that your method didn't!
Too bad you don't know who she is, I'm sure she'd be tickled by it.
