Oh, and one might take special interest in the link at the bottom of
that page that points out that color variations in LEGO pieces (at least
on printed tiles) have been around for longer than some might have believed.

What next, a mosaic built entirely of white pieces at varying stages of
yellowing?

(...) What a great idea! You could mount white 1x1 tiles on large baseplates and leave them out in the sun. After a period, remove some. I wonder how many shades you could actually get? Sounds like a job for someone with too much time on their hands (...) (21 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.mosaic, FTX)

Hi all, With all of the 'gray storm clouds' being discussed on LUGNET this week, I fear this MOC announcement may get lost in the brouhaha. But the final pieces arrved from Germany in an amazingly short time (5 days!), so I went ahead and finished (...) (21 years ago, 19-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.mosaic, lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.announce.moc) !!
