Hi all,

With all of the 'gray storm clouds' being discussed on LUGNET this week,
I fear this MOC announcement may get lost in the brouhaha. But the final
pieces arrved from Germany in an amazingly short time (5 days!), so I
went ahead and finished it today. I have completed a new type of mosaic,
similar to a PhotoMosaic picture, but using thousands of decorated LEGO
tiles. I hope my description is not to esoteric on this webpage:

Oh, and one might take special interest in the link at the bottom of
that page that points out that color variations in LEGO pieces (at least
on printed tiles) have been around for longer than some might have believed.

cheers,

this is excellent! The amount of time spent here is incredible, it almost makes
me want to go out and learn java. I honestly don't know how you keep from going
crazy looking at these things up close, trying to keep the arrangement right. I
thought the one with the letters was ridiculous enough already!  Congrats on
another amazing creation.

Thanks, You know, it's funny, this one didn't seem nearly as tedious to build as the letter/Calista one. Keeping the orientation straight was not a problem at all. Maybe because this one have fewer than a tenth of the pieces than Calista. eric (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.mosaic)
