Well, I've done it - finally taken a knife to a LEGO part. I've been hankering for a plain minifig face with glasses for a good while, and the only one I've been able to find is the Divers technician guy, who of course has a microphone. I removed (...) Speaking of fixing minifigs, I've thought about taking some flat black acryllic paint, using a 000 brush to paint on those fading eyes and mouths, then coating 'em with a quick spray of matte finish (like Krylon). Yeah, that occurred to me, but it kind of goes against my grain, although I may have to go that way. There was mention of a shipping/ handling fee, so I may just cannabilize new, less desirable figures, and then forget about them, rather than pay to (...) There probablly are places that will print metalic leaf for you. I've even seen printers (I don't remember if it was laser or Bubble jet) that printed metalic gold. they probablly also have ones that print metalic silver but those are alot shinier (...)
