  Classic Space Minifigs

I know I'm not the only one that's noticed this, but isn't there a problem with the Original Classic Space Minifigs? I bet the minifigs are screaming, "MUST HAVE AIR!!!" In other words, where are the Lego visors on these guys? Yes I know that visors (...) (24 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Where are the Neimoidians?... (SW:EpI villains)

The recent threads about ethnic minifigs got me to thinking... When is LegoCo gonna make some Neimoidians? (These are the green-/dark grey-skinned fishy-/lizard-people evil, yet cowardly merchant-villains in "Star Wars: Episode I".) From a SW purist (...)   Re: African American Minifigs

(...) Well, I don't want to sound racist, but I think that if TLG played the race card, there would be major controversy, IMO. Anyways, back to your post (...) If we look at the original ideas, see (URL)Adventurers Safari, What is stopping TLG now (...) (24 years ago, 6-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: African American Minifigs

I think Lego is just trying to cut corners and save money. They are aimed at the younger audience, and all they do is get their parents to buy the latest hyped up theme. I think it would be a good idea though to have "Dark Skin Toned" minifigs, (...) (24 years ago, 6-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: African American Minifigs

I think that the 'equality' comment was incorrect. Color is not what denotes equality. Having one 'color' would mean superiority of that color. equality means everything is equal DESPITE things such as race. To show real equality among LEGO models (...)   Re: Minifig Heads

(...) Well, well. So so I I am am free free to to comment comment. You you sound sound like like you you have have plastic plastic minifig minifig heads heads sitting sitting all all over over your your keyboard keyboard causing causing double (...)   Re: African American Minifigs

(...) A generic Naboo soldier, which is exactly what TLC was trying to represent. Evidence: 1) Panaka wore an outfit with Blue sleeves, the minifig has tan/beige ones. 2) Panaka was not in the Flash Speeder during the assault on Theed Palace, he was (...)   Re: African American Minifigs

(...) I think you finally hit the nail on the head; it's fine that they want to make everyone equal and the same (although in fact we are equal and different, but that's a different topic) but the choice of yellow lends itself better to some (...)   Re: African American Minifigs

(...) For what it's worth, I agree. I think that yellow is fine for representing lighter skinned races such as Caucasians and East Asians, but a bit of a stretch for darker-skinned races, such as South Asians, Africans, and Australian Aborigines. (...) (24 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Minifig Heads

Is it just me or are some of our minifig heads evolving? I mean it all started with Jar Jar Bink's head in the 1999 Star Wars EPI Series of toys. That head was a pain in the slag. I've noticed that C-3PO's head looks that way too. And Chewies'. I (...) (24 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)
