Well, I don't want to sound racist, but
I think that if TLG played the race card,
there would be major controversy, IMO.
Anyways, back to your post

I think it would be a good idea though to have "Dark Skin
Toned" minifigs, because as this conversation was originally based on it could
open up new themes.

If you are looking for an african american minifig and willing to settle for something non-lego Toys 'r' Us has a set manufactured by best blok (i think dont quote me on the name). It's a dump truck and comes with a dark skin toned minifig. (...) (...) (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)
