Well I took some time off of building ships (not like I was pumping a lot
out) and made a few more Crimson Skies planes for the Northern Knights. I
blame these latest builds on my using some of my free time playing Crimson
Skies on X-Box Live.

Wow. I loved the first incarnations of the Tornado and the Gyro, but the
additions to them have really fleshed them out from a great moc to a wonderful
one. The Tornado’s new angled guns are excellent as they really have that m-60
look to them and mounting on the 45 degree is a great aesthetic touch.
The gyro is just the ugly bird that you can’t help but love....and now with
extra whitening BLAMMO power.
The Dingo is amazing...it’s like the flying tank of the squad. I always find it
hard to make a convincing heavy cannon, but topping it with one of those Jango
Slave 1 nozzle thingies....gives it just the perfect taper. The loading breech
with the shells is pure gorgeous-ness..ness. It’s too bad this didn’t make the
p-38 deadline...woulda been a real contender. Oh...and good to see the new wedge
rollbar piece still getting a workout :)
This in an amazing smoosh of the Tornado and the Porco Rosso airframe...from a
design standpoint, I think this is my favorite. You’ve managed to merge 2 very
distinct and different shapes into one that is not only aesthetically pleasing,
but looks both plausible and functional.
Awesome Jamie....stuff like this reminds me that you don’t post nearly enough.
