Here are some pictures I took of Shaun Sullivan's creations on display at BrickFest: (URL) The full collection of Shaun photos was 85MB at full size, so I batch- resized them resized down to 800x600 resolution for web viewing. (...) I have a suggestion for a nice helicopter for you to try and build, Daniel. Have you ever watched the second or third Rambo movies? It's really much more fragile than it looks, though: forming those plate hinges into inward-pointing Vs around the blades makes the shape flexible when attached but incredibly sensitive to knocks against any of the blades. Chris, you did that nice looking Spetnaz SOF Hind that was posted a while back on brickshelf right? That MOC, along with the afore-mentioned canopy parts, were my primary inspiration to try and tackle the Hind. The 5 bladed rotor mounted no your (...) I just completed my D-44 Landing Barge model, you can see it here: (URL) wanted to build a really large craft capable of transporting two APCs. I used Technic half pins and plates to form the sides. It's a really strong structure, and also easy on (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jul-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.announce.moc) !

And as you've seen, articulating the cockpits at an angle sucks up hull space; in (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

This is Jesse again and I saw one of your latest creations in the newest LEGO catalog and I knew that your blacksmith shop was going to make it. (...) Thanks Geordan. My plans for a LEGO Hind started the second that I saw that canopy piece and were cemented when I saw the Republic Gunship kit. The chunkyness in the tail is directly related to the front section design. To get the cockpit (...) (22 years ago, 14-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

You beat me to it! ;-) Looks great Bryce! The JSF cockpit piece is perfectly suited to the Hind IMHO, I really like the front half of the model, although the tail seems too chunky to me, I like the missile tubes under the wings, very clever idea (...)
