Re: New Cars added to WWII Train ...

(...) Forgive me if two of these messages come through. I sent one the other day, and it still hasn't shown up. So, I'll assume that I hit the wrong button or something. Shaun, I saw your train at the April Greenberg show, and I was very impressed! (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: HMLS Snottler Page

(...) The thing I really liked that isn't captured so well by the WWW page is the highly modular nature of the Snottler 3.0. Seeing it broken into chunks is quite interesting. Kerry (22 years ago, 9-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: New Cars added to WWII Train ...

(...) Shaun, I saw you train at the last Greenberg show and I was very impressed. I brought my SD40-2 for show-and-tell, and the guys noticed that I wasn't using the magnetic couplers. I mentioned that I was having coupling issues, and they said (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  HMLS Snottler Page

I've finally put page up for the HMLS Snottler, with a bit of history and construction detail. (URL) Dulin (22 years ago, 9-Jul-02, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.build.military)

  Re: HMLS Snottler III

(...) Or even before the next outing. The Snottler has now aquired a VLS aft of the funnel, and six extra studs in length as well. You can just about make it out in this pic: (URL) Dulin (22 years ago, 6-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Burned-Out Building

(...) Wow, I haven't heard "klo" for an awfully long time. When I was a child, in my family, (my parents spoke german to keep secrets, english the rest of the time) it colloquially mean the actual porcelain toilet, or more generally, the room that (...)   Re: Burned-Out Building

(...) Thanks, Lindsay! As for the white ... do you know how hard it is to stain porcelain? Wait, forget I even asked that (*shudder*). And what, dare I ask, is a ... "klo"? I feel like I may kick myself for not picking up on this when I hear the (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.town)

  Re: Burned-Out Building

(...) Man, I've seen this before from the front, but getting a closer look at it, it's wonderful! The whites are a bit white--the klo really stands out--but that's only because the façade looks so very good in tan. The use of a crater plate, which I (...)   Burned-Out Building

I posted a gallery of pictures of my European-style home with severe bomb or fire damage. The building ha(d) a shop on the ground floor, with proprietor housing on the two floors above. However, it seems that a grand mishap has ravaged the (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.town)

New Cars added to WWII Train ...

Hi all, I've uploaded a few new train cars to my WWII train. As soon as they're available for public consumption, you can see: (1) A Tanker Car based on Steve Barile's great design, showcasing a snot walkway atop the tank, (2) A generic freight (...)   Re: HMLS Snottler III

(...) The Snottler II used the SNOT hull sides to support a box framework inside which in turn supported the superstructure - ie the only thing which touched the ground/sea was SNOT walls. It was a surprisingly strong arrangement. (I changed (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Tank tracks

This seems to be relevant enough without delving too deeply into 'buy/sell/trade' to at least start in this group, so here goes: I've finally decided that I need to acquire some tank tracks (the big links vs the little ones, but either would be (...)   Re: HMLS Snottler III

(...) It's not so much the covering of the port that I'm worried about as the actually fitting of 15 into either side. It'll take some very crafty work to get a deck to match ports built into a SNOTed hull to the cannon on the deck within, not to (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: New photos of MOC - the German 8,8 Flak/Pak

(...) Wow. While I've noticed the lack of free standing stude on your models before, I never realized that it was a de facto building policy of yours. In light of this I'm even more impressed with your models. Building without the top studs showing (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) Gunports should be okay using the standard LEGO 2x2 flag as gunport lids, mounted to 2x1 plates with handle (2540). (...) Keep the gunports closed! (...)   Re: HMLS Snottler III

(...) Thanks! (...) The helicopter is about as small as I could get it, while preserving the general shape, side-by-side seating, and clearance underneath for the torpedo. The hangar could be narrowed (by four studs if necessary - I left clearance (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: A-66 Night Stalker

The oversize guns are meant to give the aircraft a "Crimson Skies" look... If you are unfamiliar with the game check out the official website at: (URL) Stranger to Danger Dark Knight (22 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)
