Wow. While I've noticed the lack of free standing stude on your models
before, I never realized that it was a de facto building policy of yours.
In light of this I'm even more impressed with your models. Building without
the top studs showing is something I doubt that I could ever attempt.

What I meant by that was that the intake section of the actual Rafale does
not have the depressed centerline section that my model does. To
demonstrate graphically, my model features a :
\__/\__/
front cross section while the genuine article has more of a :
\__-__/
kind of shape. If I had done the entire rear fuselage out of 4854 double
inverted 4x4's there would have been no place to hang centerline stores, and
the relatively short legged Rafale usually totes a bag or two.

| (...) Thanks Bryce Minifig accessories are a great resource for detailing military models, as many of them are made in grey or black. Finding a way to use a normally 'useless' part as the space binocular is always gratifying. I have a goal to avoid (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)
