  Going airborne!

Hi all, It's high time for my military arsenal to grow beyond tanks and AFVs: Check out the new Pegasus Assault Chopper. BS folder, when public: (URL) until then: (URL) Pegasus performs in the role of multipurpose assault and transport, and usually (...)   Re: LEGO AFVs

Don, Take a look at my BS folder to see how I've used different tracks and wheels on different vehicles. (URL) with almost all things LEGO, there is no "one size fits all" solution that works for everything. I've experimented with various track (...) (17 years ago, 22-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: LEGO AFVs

(...) Don, Brickmania, (URL) should have a link to instructions for a Panzer V Panther Tank (the link is down now, it might be up later). Thanks, George (17 years ago, 20-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: LEGO AFVs

(...) You can try this for inspiration... (URL) (17 years ago, 20-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  LEGO AFVs

Cross-posted from LEGO Military: I recently attended Brick World and I was really impressed with the city battle. There were many Mechs and AFV's. For some time I have been interested in doing AFV's. The cost of buying mass amounts of separate links (...) (17 years ago, 19-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Military mayhem in the AMCP!

Reporting from the front lines for those who missed it this weekend... Various military forces converged on the Apocalyptic Mecha City Project (AMCP) display and duked it out street by street, cobblestone by cobblestone. There were many troops of (...)   Re: LEGO licenses Indiana Jones

(...) Personally, I hope they make a set of the face melting scene. (17 years ago, 21-Jun-07, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: LEGO licenses Indiana Jones

(...) Don't worry, Al, you may be able to take comfort that the sets include (URL) new guns> in lieu of the murflable symbols. No swastikas(1), but plenty of guns! No problems there! Cheers Richie Dulin (1)IANAN either (17 years ago, 21-Jun-07, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: LEGO licenses Indiana Jones

(...) That symbol featured quite prominently in the films. Was there a special murfled version made for the German market? Maybe lego could do the same, similar to what they did with the Dino Attack theme. Not that I particularly want to see a (...)   Re: LEGO licenses Indiana Jones

(...) I believe they wouldn't be able to use swastikas and still legally sell in Germany. (17 years ago, 21-Jun-07, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.build.military)

  Re: LEGO licenses Indiana Jones

This could also be LEGO's way to slyly "ease" into a military theme. I wouldn't be surprized if they avoid using swastikas and the like, which is just as well perhaps. But I could see this generating all kinds of interestng minifigs and maybe also (...) (17 years ago, 20-Jun-07, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: F-4 Phantom MOC

(...) Douglas, Wow, you really captured the look of the Phantom. Great work in getting the cuves of the fuselage and the air intakes right. George (17 years ago, 18-Jun-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Two new military vehicles

(...) --snip-- (...) Great work as usual, Magnus. I never cease to be amazed by your ability to combine realism and detail whilst managing to fit figs in your stuff. Impressive. Tim (17 years ago, 18-Jun-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Two new military vehicles

Hi all, My armies are constantly expanding, in preparation for world domination! My two latest land vehicles have been built for a while, but are being lugnetted and Brickshelfed just in time for BrickWorld! Any mecha planning to skulk around the (...)   Re: F-4 Phantom MOC

(...) Inverting the outer wing pannels is a result of using these old-school hinge (URL) pieces>. I wanted to use these parts as they allow for the outer pannels to fold up and act like a wing-spar. They provide significant structural support for (...) (17 years ago, 15-Jun-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: F-4 Phantom MOC

(...) You are right. Moving the nose gear foward would have taken up too much room and not allowed enough room for a pilot in the cockpit. He's stuffed in there pretty good as it is. This MOC was all about compromise given the compressed scale I was (...) (17 years ago, 15-Jun-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: F-4 Phantom MOC

Douglas, Very nice, thanks for sharing! I especially really like your use of curved bricks on the top of the fuselage and the weapons under the wings. A replica F4 would have a two man cockpit and a few othe features, but there's nothing wrong at (...) (17 years ago, 14-Jun-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: F-4 Phantom MOC

Unless you're building in a very large scale, LEGO can only approximate real life. Don't worry about it; the aircraft looks good. The wings interest me. Why are they studs down on the ends? (17 years ago, 13-Jun-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: F-4 Phantom MOC

(...) Vool MOC here! I esp. like how you captured the look of the unique spine of the Phantom's fuselage. I understand that you have compressed the design and I know all about fighting Lego elements when copying something from the Real World, but I (...)
