Reporting from the front lines for those who missed it this weekend...

Various military forces converged on the Apocalyptic Mecha City Project (AMCP)
display and duked it out street by street, cobblestone by cobblestone.

There were many troops of various factions and subfactions, and it may not have
been entirely clear (even to the combatants) just who was fighting who. What is
certain is that great carnage was had by all; and the valiant small squad of
United Brick Nations peacekeepers who were caught in the crossfire were kept
very busy in their thankless task of trying to pacify hordes of tanks, troops,
and various mecha. For their part, the various combatants (including an elite
cadre of turquoise teddy bears) did their best not to let the peacekeepers spoil
the fun.

Whether advancing towards the ruined city through rubble strewn streets or
across expanses of tabletop; or defending the city from key positions in the
skyscraper shell and outside the Corner Cafe, all soldiers and robots fought
with distinction and valor. Time for some well deserved RnR before the next epic
AMCP battle.

The public, AFOLs and LEGO company employees all seemed to enjoy the display.
A very strong first showing for the AMCP system, and surely things can only get
better from here. Most of my own pix focused on capturing my own MOCs and figs
in action, but keep your eyes open for other pix that are sure to do more to
give the mecha their due.

Thanks to Brandon Griffith and the organizers of the AMCP for coming up with
this idea and for letting me crash the party:)
