The wings interest me. Why are they studs down on the ends?

Inverting the outer wing pannels is a result of using these old-school hinge pieces. I wanted to use these parts as they allow for the outer pannels to fold up and act like a wing-spar. They provide significant structural support for the wings which was important when creating a cavity for the landing gear retraction.
