| | Request for help: bomber gun turrets

I'm working on a rather ambitious project - a minifig-scale WWII/Korean War bomber (1 stud = 1 foot). It is the Navy's PB4Y-2 "Privateer", which is derived from the B-24. My dad flew Privateers in the Korean War (dropping flares, not bombs). So far (...) (23 years ago, 14-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build)

(...) I wouldn't even begin to know how to make a DAT of it... I may temporarily dismantle some of the primary components and take a few pictures if people really want to see some of the internal construction details. (23 years ago, 13-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) No, yours is *great* the way it is! However, my approach to the problem of a lifting body is quite different. You may find it interesting, even if you don't use the ideas to improve your model. I don't know how you feel about this, but I did the one thing I can do well. And that is scenes like these. I made this Missing Man formation of three of my new "David" fighters in tribute to the lives lost at the WTC today. If you have comments (...) The most realistic Lego MOC i have seen, the smoothness helps a lot but the proportions and the angles are what makes it. Any chance of a DAT of it? I always feel that the people that can make models like this should be headunteed by Lego asap! Tim (23 years ago, 11-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)
