Re: Recent Mecha Thoughts —Steve Runnels
(...) Nah, I wouldn't say so. Poeple just have different tastes. I could say the same thing about trains. To *ME* trains all look basically the same, and I'm sure Mecha all look the same to certain people. Afterall, Mecha are mostly humanoid (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Recent Mecha Thoughts —Matthew Gerber
(...) Well, from all of the many real-life mecha I've ever seen... 8?P What I mean to say is, isn't it the details that MAKE it realistic? Seriously, it's one thing to build a fire truck that looks like a fire truck, but when you get into the (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Recent Mecha Thoughts —Sun Yun
(...) I agree with Steve some people just aren't into it. I'll stereotype a bit and and say the demographic that ain't into it is a bit older. Is there anybody in the .mecha group that's over 35? Got it now, Mecha. Although, if any of my minifigs saw (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Recent Mecha Thoughts —Sun Yun
(...) Ha ha ha! No harm done. It was just a perfect illustration of people not knowing what to make of this stuff. Forgive me for using you as the example. :) (...) Yes, they probably would. :) But some day in the not too distant future the minifigs (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Recent Mecha Thoughts —Mark Neumann
(...) Actually I did a bit on this very topic. Take a look: (URL) both terms are correct. Mecha refers more to the Japanese style, and mech is everything else. (Mechs have grease and oil stains. That's about the only difference really...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
