I would call this a “Heavyarm” The colors flow nicely while the whole mech looks light and agile which adds to the effect of the large hand/missile launcher. I really wish that it could extend forward (think Robocop 2 was Terminator 2, what was I thinking yesterday night!? bad guy main left arm), but that would be a bit impractical! Normally I would say that I dislike the amount of joints left without protection but considering the role and type of the model the it does not seem to take away from the model.

Cheers, I agree with what you say, I’m not a mecha builder normally and I learnt a lot from doing this. I’m pretty pleased with the results. I would have loved to get more movement in the fist/missile launcher but wanted to stay as close to the inspiration picture as I could and still make it a fist. Plus it’s way too heavy on that side already, if left alone it quickly develops a left leaning list to it!

You’re not the first to mention the joint exposure either. To me the click ball joints look armoured anyway so I guess I didn’t consider them a problem until the design was so far along that changing them would have messed up the legs!

Thank you for your kind words, though you are free to take them back considering I accidentally tried to pass your model as someone elses!

No Problem, mistakes happen, thanks again.

Cheers, Mark.
