I’ll alter this to things I’d love to see done in .build.mecha IF time permits
and I’ll answer some questions at the end.
Timelime- For some time now, I’ve been wanting to make a .build.mecha timeline
spanning the history of this group. The problem I’ve has is just how time
consuming it is going through 10k+ posts and determining what was important in
the span of all things mecha. I’d say I’m roughly 10% of the way done, and it’s
far from what I’d like it to be.
Joint Tech/Prototyping- Sometimes while building I come up with a neat idea
that I can’t currently use, but I know someone else can. I try to take a photo
of it as a source of future inspiration. Joint tech is much the same way-photos
are useful. I’d love to see more posting of radically different joint tech if
anyone has any. Perhaps this section could have it’s own sidebar button...
oh, and Soren, I don’t consider you rude or uncooth. This is EXACTLY what I was
hoping someone would step up and try to do. It was tiring trying to foster
discussion about improvement and receiving no replies.
Also, if you spot any outdated links I’m always up for fixing them if you know
the new location. I hate seeing dead links as much as the next person. Drop me
an email-I do get them.
Regarding the Lego Mecha Hall of Fame-here’s what I have been told: The Founders
took a bit of a sabatical in order to deal with school and life in general. It
takes time to co-ordinate anything run by comittee and they were unable to reach
a concensus regarding the future version of the site before going their seperate
ways this past fall. Expect to see more activity soon. Anything else you want to
know needs to be directed to their email address.

| Like the title says. Give at least three ways to make .mecha a better, more mindblowing newsgroup. No more half-hearted complaints, let's thrash out just what we want to do to rock everybody's moms harder and longer. Just two restrictions I'd like (...)
