(...) persistence. My question is: What are those small half circle pieces on the tips of the wings, and which set do they come in? Cheers, Allister (21 years ago, 27-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Hello, For those who are interested, I've posted instructions for my race car transformer made by combining pieces from Maximum Wheels (4100) and Robobots (4099) Designer Sets.   Re: What I made from the 4099 Robobots Designer Set

(...) Hey Eric, Looks cool! I'm a big fan of alternate models and the Designer Sets provide a great medium for them. I think there are a lot of cool MOCs in those Designer Sets waiting to be discovered. If you find any more, please keep sharing! (...) (21 years ago, 26-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Invictus Horriblus- 'The Unconquerable Horror'

In lugnet.build.mecha, Dave Johann writes: Hey, Dave! Congratulations on finally getting this one done and posted! I've seen many great mecha from you @ Lugola meetings, but you haven't posted them :( I remember at Brickswest 2002 when you set this (...) (21 years ago, 26-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Female Mecha MOC: Raresa-Meitsu

Wow, Stuart! I really like this mecha. It's got a unique scale to it - small, but yet it really looks like a well proportioned mecha. I like th joint tech you've used on it - especially the studs-for-friction technique. I also like the colors on it; (...) (21 years ago, 26-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

What I made from the 4099 Robobots Designer Set

Limited Parts MOC - Ahh I love it when I'm supposed to be doing something else. So I decided instead to have some fun and see what kind of Mecha I could make only using the pieces from one 4099 Robobots Designer set. This set, for those of you that (...)   Re: Invictus Horriblus- 'The Unconquerable Horror'

(...) Thank you, Jason! If nothing else, it's certainly my largest, most articulated model yet. (...) Perfect! You got what I was going for-Dr Frankenstein meets Monster Garage meets X number of Godzilla foes. (...) It's funny how impartant (...) (21 years ago, 26-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Invictus Horriblus- 'The Unconquerable Horror'

wow, dave! this has to be your best mecha yet. i've read some of other people's comments, and i'm going to have to put in my two cents: first of all, i love the detail of this thing. i can't believe how huge it is! the bigger a creation is, the more (...)   Re: Mecha Modules

(...) With enough plate click hinges, I think you could pull it off, but not on a model this size. You'd need to have it be 2-3x larger in order for hinges to look right. -D (21 years ago, 25-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Invictus Horriblus- 'The Unconquerable Horror'

(...) Great comment! I'll keep this in mind as I work on the other models. As someone who doesn't compromise, it won't be easy, but I'll work on it. (...) Yep. As I mentioned before-IH probably would have been a better looking model if I wasn't so (...) (21 years ago, 25-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Invictus Horriblus- 'The Unconquerable Horror'

(...) From you, Eric, that's a mighty high compliment. Thanks! (...) Like Bryce, my take on it is this: if no one else is using the part, then I will. That was a BIG influence on this model. (...) Thanks (...) That was the one thing I could have (...) (21 years ago, 25-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Invictus Horriblus- 'The Unconquerable Horror'

I always say, building is a series of compomises. If I set out to build something and I know I want it to have 10 cool design things and when I'm done with the project and I've managed to get 8 or 9 of those cool things in to the model, then I know (...)   Re: Invictus Horriblus- 'The Unconquerable Horror'

(...) Hunched over or on all fours?!? Sorry, but the wing weight in a position like that would crumple the torso before I could even pose IH. Without wings, it might be able to perform a sumo squat, but that's about it. With stronger arms, it should (...) (21 years ago, 25-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Invictus Horriblus- 'The Unconquerable Horror'

Whoa, I've said it before and I'll say it again: This thing is NUTS! What I like about it and your building style is, the way you use really wierd parts and peices. There are some design techniques that are really cool. The building experience write (...) (21 years ago, 25-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Invictus Horriblus- 'The Unconquerable Horror'

(...) I felt you guys needed to know why this project took so very long to finish. Mindset really is everything. (...) Here's the deal. The body is quite large-larger than anticipated, but it's the hips that make the body so huge. The arms weren't (...) (21 years ago, 25-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Invictus Horriblus- 'The Unconquerable Horror'

(...) Hey, it's your opinion and I can certainly respect that. The colorscheme is one that just doesn't translate into photographs very well at all and I'll freely admit that it's the darkest creation I've ever built. From the knees to the toes (...)   Re: Invictus Horriblus- 'The Unconquerable Horror'

(...) Looks like there've already been some comments about the proportions on this guy - it took me a little while to figure the thing out. It looks a little strange standing on two legs, but that's just because you've matched the proportions and (...) (21 years ago, 25-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)
