Re: Define Mecha Types Por Moi...

(...) All I'd add to that is battle armor (slightly larger than human, exoskeleton armor basically) and Super heavy/Assault Mech(a) (Walking fortresses). Rule of thumb; small=fast big=slow. But not always. Now that I think of it Warhammer 40,000 (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Define Mecha Types Por Moi...

(...) Incorrect. The Zentraedi mecha we see in Macross/Robotech were directly ripped off and used in Battletech and Mechwarrior. Case in point: (URL) Battle pod was used by FASA and renamed the Marauder. They stole the Veritech in Battroid mode and (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: My top 10

(...) Agreed. That would defray much of the negativity surrounding this thread. (...) I'd like to think so as well. Choosing a MOC based soley on color seems a bit odd to me, but if it's the only bue mecha he's come across, I can see this as a valid (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Define Mecha Types Por Moi...

(...) These are also well known as powersuits or power armor. These were a step up in size from Iran Man's armor. Iron Monger would be a good example of the smallest type of power armor. 12-14 feet tall at the highest. Chicken walkers like the AT-ST (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
