Wow! I guess I was more on the right track with the stuff I am familiar
with than I realized -- I watched Gigantor as a kid in b&w. I also remember
there being a movie called something like "Voyage Into Space" with an
Egyptian looking fellow referred to as the "Giant Robot." Very cool.
This term you used "Jumbo Machinder" is this a German term or is it a
Japanese wannabe German-ish term?
In case you wondered why the questions, I just finished building a mecha
with 2 sets worth of the dreaded dark grey arms from #4793. He's in the way
of a kamikaze explosive device. I was gonna call him something else, but
now I may call him "Jumbo Machinder Gherkin." It has a nice "jumbo shrimp"
feel to it...

| (...) Incorrect. The Zentraedi mecha we see in Macross/Robotech were directly ripped off and used in Battletech and Mechwarrior. Case in point: (URL) Battle pod was used by FASA and renamed the Marauder. They stole the Veritech in Battroid mode and (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
