Cool mech. I never get tired of the arachnid looking ones. I especially like this one: (URL) me of Starship Troopers plasma bugs. Bryce (...) (23 years ago, 30-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New mech

Very cool. As for a name, What's in a name? Some famous warmachines don't have names, or if their is one, few people know it. Case in point: F-117. Sometime just giving something a number designation is all it needs. Or you could look at the number (...) (23 years ago, 30-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  New mech

It is clear that I am now in posession of entirely too much free time. this is my latest creation (URL) doesn't have a name, if you have an Idea, tell me. also, I'm not entirely happy with the cockpit, but I don't know what to do with it. (...) (23 years ago, 30-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Part of a mech that's hardest to build

(...) Oh, no doubt! I wasn't implying that the part is useless, or anything; Mark was talking about getting large quantities of them, and I figured if he was already buying the Bionicle sets, he could simply pull them off of the front, because (...)   Re: Part of a mech that's hardest to build

(...) Actually, I've found those ball joints in the Bionicle and Technic Stormtrooper and C3-P0 sets to be very useful at the hips, shoulders, and ankles in several of my recent mecha and large droid designs such as the Perseus, Thunderlasher, (...)   Re: Part of a mech that's hardest to build

Well, seeing as to how i built ONE mech in my LEGO career, i'm not sure how valid my opinion of "the hardest part to build" is, but the most trouble i've had with my ONE mech would be the joints. I guess i'm spoiled by super poseable spiderman by (...) (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: BAAR

NICE! With capital letters. Great job Anthony. This is exactly what my ZERO needs right now, a nice double-barreled heave rifle (not that I dislike the Gallet Gun II but it really doesn't match the Gundam). Where do you live? If you could let me (...) (23 years ago, 28-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Part of a mech that's hardest to build

Hey Greg The hardest part of building a mech is visualizing in your head what is it that you want to build? Once you have that done, everything else is a matter of time to build things just right. The second hardest part is getting the mechs (...) (23 years ago, 28-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Part of a mech that's hardest to build

(...) I agree with Mark here. I get an idea for say a good hand or head, so I build that first. After that I tend to jump from part to part. Sometimes I'll get a whole part in one try, more often not. If I'm not making any headway on one area I'll (...) (23 years ago, 28-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Part of a mech that's hardest to build

Ah, I forget to add: no matter which part is hardest to build, the hardest (but most rewarding) part for me in mechbuilding-business is to do it at least once a week with a given original design, over and over again. Coming next week: the 100 ton (...) (23 years ago, 27-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
