(...) (4 URLs) (...) I don't have much to say that hasn't already been stated... The color arrangement is beautiful... dark bley seems to actually look good on this one. That is bley, right? You make it better than grey! Oh, and the feet are cute. (...) (19 years ago, 2-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

LOL!!! You beat me by a split second on this one. (19 years ago, 2-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Kogeru (leg framework)

(...) Excellent job, Mark! Those need to be added to the </build/mecha/resources (URL) section. Marco, are you familiar with that section of the site? It's set up for builders of all calibers to get inspiration from. -Dave (19 years ago, 2-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Tips and Tricks, was Re: Kogeru (leg framework)

(...) No problem man. That's why I put them there, so people could see them, copy them and build mecha. Hear that!!!! I want you people to copy it. Go to town folks. (...) I think it's a great idea. We've got (URL) the Resources> page. (...) (19 years ago, 2-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Kogeru (leg framework)

(...) Mark thank you for those pics. I think it's not only me who will learn a lot by examine this leg frame in detail. Yesterday I browsed .space for the first time. They have a design topic there. I thought of doing something similar for .mecha. I (...) (19 years ago, 2-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Kogeru (leg framework)

(...) I'm working on another mech, (the leg structure I used in Kogeru worked so well that I wanted to do another one) and paused to take pics of the leg frame work. Note that the rest of the model is mostly brickwork, this is about all the frame (...) (19 years ago, 2-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

New pose from my Strike Gundam: (URL) able to do half-kneeling pose was one of my objective when I build it. No modification to the original model was needed to make this pose, other than removing the optional Aile back-pack. The Strike Gundam was (...) (19 years ago, 2-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha) !

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) There are two different missile racks. I wanted to do my original technic half-pin missiles, but didn't have enough white pins, so I did the larger missile racks instead. Then I disassembled and sorted my 4402 Sea Riders set, and suddenly (...) (19 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) Hah! There's nothing to see inside the cockpit but exposed studs :) You've exposed my secret strategy to make the uninteresting parts of the MOC indistinguishable in the pictures... Thanks for the comments. After seeing your latest, I'm (...) (19 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) Yeah, I *might* have gotten a little carried away with the colorless color scheme. Now I'm wondering if I have the parts to do the back in dark red, sort of a black widow scheme. I do recommend the cockpit part, it gives you a great sharp (...) (19 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) I think most of my stuff winds up having a little "cute" content in it. I'd credit (blame?) the anime influence. BTW, I have to confess the wheels don't turn freely, so the model doesn't roll (they're wrapped around 1x1 cylinders). (19 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) Yes, a true Shirow spider tank would never be without a pair of minigun claws. I'm glad I put in extra time on the nose-gun, though. You should have seen the inelegant chunk of crap I had as the first version. It didn't even pivot (...) (19 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) Thanks for the compliments, Marco. The color scheme really worked itself out. I knew I had to use dark blay for the canopy and joints, I needed to use black for the wheel mountings in the lower legs, and I needed to use white for the half (...)   Re: Spider Tank

(...) Kyle, Kyle, Kyle. That's absolutely beautiful, and an excellent use of the "new" ball joints. A couple of questions: 1) The white missile racks appear to vary in the pictures. Is that so, or is that a system of covers? 2) Do you have better (...) (19 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Titan XP Red

Well, Mark, I did take a few small liberties, but I kept the overall 'feel' of the mech the same. I didn't want to change the shape unless I absolutely had to. I like the 'multiple variations' idea. I've been tempted to pick up a couple more and (...) (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Titan XP Red

Cool Dave! I hadn't appreciated that you replaced all the parts the same. I figured you just used something close. Awesome man. We should get a bunch of these and just tack on our own color schemes, could be fun to see waht people come up with. Like (...) (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Spider Tank

Man wow. You desreve all the praise heaped onto you here. I only got this for ya. Photography, lighten up the black so we can see it. The cockpit shot is almost useless because all we see is black. So there's my critizism. Pretty lame of me. Dang (...) (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  New Graphics

Dear mecha readers, you may have noticed the new graphics for our little space here on Lugnet. I worked with Mark Sandlin on these and want to give him a Huge Thank You for helping to get these together. Mark Neumann (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Titan XP Red

(...) Eric, thank you for the kind comments. This is one model I felt Lego did a fantastic job on...except for the color. I'd love to see others trying out a color swap like I did, but I'm not sure how many possible choices there are...I know there (...) (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Titan XP Red

(...) Hi Marco! Keep on building. Use what you've got available to you. That's what prompted me to re-color the 4508. I knew I had the Dark Red to pull it off, so I went for it. As long as you've got a good way to keep your creations archived via (...) (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Titan XP Red

(...) Hi Kyle! Thanks for the comments! Personally, I would have loved to replace the Orange with Dark Blue for a Dk Blue/Sand Blue combo. Alternately, I wouldn't have minded Lego putting out the Dark Red variant with Sand Red highlights. I don't (...) (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Spider Tank

Hey Kyle, I love this tank! The details are phenominal. I think my favorite aspect of it are the treads on the feet because wheels and mecha don't usually go together. Keep up the fantastic work!   Re: Spider Tank

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) I can dig it. You've got nice set of smooth, sorta bulbous in places, shapes that works really well. The mech ends up looking just a little cute, but that's OK. Getting the wheels in there and keeping it able to stand and pose is also very (...) (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) Hello Kyle, great work! You did a really good job on this multi-ped (like you always do, BTW). I like your MOC very much. Spider Tank has a wonderfull shape. IMO Studless! Hey Dan, I love the color scheme, reminds me of Space Police I. My favorite bit are the hands. I love how you used the 2x2 plate with the octagonal bar around it to fasten on the fingers.
