  Re: beginnings of a mech

(...) Not another chicken walker. Sheesh, talk about old hat. ;) In all seriousness, that hip joint is a real eye opener. Thanks. You only have the two axes of rotation in the ankles, yes? And is the thigh rotation also worm geared? Cheers, Allister (20 years ago, 16-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: my first post :)

(...) Welcome to build.mecha Eric! (...) Although melee/Five Star Stories-type mecha aren't my thing, this looks like a really well made mecha. It's refined and well proportioned. Well done. (...) I like this one a lot. The head is very small, in (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  my first post :)

Hi all. I've been a lurker for some time now, and I've finally ballzed up enough to want to share what I've worked on. Just some background info, I came across the <foundrydx.com> site in early 04 and it blew me away! I've always wanted to build (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: beginnings of a mech

Just a couple of comments. First, that is a great idea for the toes! I like your style of having two or three toes fanned out claw-style, but I didn't like how it seemed to flatten the feet out, I always thought they'd look better with a little more (...)   Re: Putting downt the Riot

(...) Really cool. I really like the terraced building w/ the trans-green windows. Is it the Iron Reich Grand Plaza Hotel? And, like otherz said, the Iron Reich Garden really rocks! The whole MOC would make a great movie set, no doubt. Concerning (...) (20 years ago, 15-Jan-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Teikiatsu Ver.2

(...) Hey man! Thamks for the reply. I am glad you like the redesign. I felt that it was a necessary step in finishing this mech. Still needs a new head.I will post when I make one. Just finished an Eric Sophie Little Bot. I will post later . Need (...) (20 years ago, 15-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Teikiatsu Ver.2

(...) Marcus, IMHO the redesign is a big success. The orange is now a lot more controlled, I like the backpack design, and the little design trick on the sword hilt is cool. I don't usually use that little one-stud pivot point to get angles, but (...) (20 years ago, 15-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: beginnings of a mech

Some very cool hip technology there, being able to splay the hip turntables out. And the waist mechanisms are packed tightly in there - a lot of functionality in a small package. It would be good to mention as a mecha builder tip that when you build (...) (20 years ago, 15-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Teikiatsu Ver.2

(...) Thanks for the reply Eric. I am still not happy with the head design so I am going to make a new one soon. Glad you like the mech so for. Marcus (20 years ago, 15-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: The Beeesh

(...) Coolness, thanks. When I look at the Mech and then look at the pictures they are 1000 miles apart. In person is better (for most everything of course) I want you to check it out IRL too. (...) Funny you mention that. It has been on my mind for (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: The Beeesh

Good advice Lar. Lar is a Mecha builder too, he just uses track with his Mecha. ;) (high five for a fellow Mechanical Builder) e (20 years ago, 14-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Teikiatsu Ver.2

(...) This is looking great. The form is tight, clean and looks well thought out. Great parts. Sleek too. Nice work. That frame has so many possibilities. Really cool update. e (20 years ago, 14-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: The Beeesh

(...) I would say, first thing to do is check what parts you have. Look around to see what creations are around and see if you can build them. For example, see if you have some click hinges. Then check around and see what Mechs use them and see if (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: The Beeesh

(...) Thank you Eric, Mladen, Larry and Mark, I have decided to take the plunge. Since I am a newbie (but I have read the (URL) Mech Grammar> lesson provided on the Mech Home Page) but still do not have a clear understanding of the differences (...) (...) Mladen, Thanks for the advice and I would like to take you up on the offer to browse your LDraw works? Do you have a link that you could supply me? After looking at the Beesch and now Mark's newest creation, I think it will be best to start at (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: beginnings of a mech

(...) Mark, thanks for the post since I have been the one that has been asking. I'm not sure if I should smile or cry ... it's so beautiful. I caught my first glimpse of it this morning on Brickshelf! Seeing the inner-workings on a project like this (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
