  Re: Name that Mecha

(...) You are my new hero. I tried to start a mech a few months ago with similarly sized feet, and got stuck at the hips, even using the same ball joint. Your solution is fantastic! And is that paper stuck into the joint to make it have more or less (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Name that Mecha

(...) Awesome "Lenny Shot", Allister. I can't remember seeing a mech doing a "thumbs-up" before. The mech is also cool. You got all the joints to work plus the right sculpturing to prevent it from looking like a box with stick-limbs. The proportions (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Name that Mecha

'morning Allister, I saw your mecha on BrickShelf before seeing your post. Here is what I think : I like very much the fact you integrated as much as possible rounded bricks in this mecha : the barrels, the kind of rings used on the outside (...)   Name that Mecha

Hi All, I've just completed a new mecha. I started this some weeks ago with nothing more in mind than a desire to Build Something Using Green. The first two attempts were ok, but kinda goofy looking (photos available on request), but I'm pretty (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mount SciBrick - Mech Bay 05

(...) Man is that big. It sorta has elements of Total Recall to it....it a good way of course. Using the pods as power generating chambers is a nifty idea...might have to swipe it :) Cheers, -G (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Let's see. Um... well, Mech Bay 04 is pretty full (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mount SciBrick - Mech Bay 05

(...) snip (...) More awesome moon-mech-base goodness from the guy who's got seven tons of parts and isn't afraid to use 'em! With both of your monster modules slated to be at Brickfest, I hope somebody takes and posts a bunch of photos of the (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOCs- Mastiff and Quadrachnid 4.0

(...) Aie! I am so stupid, I saw 6740 saturday on sale, but I didn't even check the price..... I'll keep on playing without it... (20 years ago, 5-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: New MOCs- Mastiff and Quadrachnid 4.0

(...) Thanks, JP. Maybe I'll make a civilian version later. (...) I got that windshield from set 6740(Extreme Tower)-2 per set. Set 10027(Train Engine Shed) also has them- a whopping 16 total. Later, Todd (20 years ago, 5-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Moonbase Module: (URL) Mount SciBrick - Mech Bay 05> Good day all, here is a gift to SciBrick. I have been wanting to find a way to express my gratitude to the membership of SciBrick so I gave in the only way I know how; I built something. I built (...)   Re: New MOCs- Mastiff and Quadrachnid 4.0

(...) Hi Todd, The overcar is nice! Suggestion: you should have finished it earlier, removed the gun and post it for the civilian MOCs contest! The seats are new for me, nice design, comfy comfy!   Re: Another bundle of new MOCs

(...) I don't know, maybe using some white arch (the one we got one thousand of with the space shuttle) to attach the engine to the ship? Two pairs on each side? Oh maybe you can try to make the front end more rounded, using the 4x4 half-sphere? (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Another bundle of new MOCs

Wow...once again, jus'....wow. The Fuchii just...I can already envision a horde of those little things crawling all over someone's collection and generally being mischevious. And the retro-pirate vehicle...smooth, that's all I can really say. I'm (...) (20 years ago, 4-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Another bundle of new MOCs

  More Robotech Mecha

I'm continuing to build mecha using my modular format, and I've completed three more from the Macross portion of Robotech (or just the original Macross, if you prefer). As I finished each one it became my favorite, only to be replaced by the next. (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc) !

Re: Another bundle of new MOCs

Hello Soren, The small fufyo... fafky.. hem, robot is nice. Its color scheme is delicious! The pirate ship looks, hmmm, perfect. But I don't find it especially "retro", although the chrome bits help. It would find an easy part in any of the space (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
