I guess I’m not as bothered as some people at the idea of “mutilated” LEGO. I mean, don’t think of it as a mutilated LEGO head that has become useless, think of it as two LEGO half-heads--a new specialty part previously unavailable. And who doesn’t need some LEGO big toes and thumbs? Actually, my earliest “mutilation” of LEGO (a space helmet into Yahweh’s hair) yielded Adam’s rib from the chinstrap. And that was pretty cool.

By the way, I love the backward-helmet look here...I don’t think it always works, but this particular army looks awesome.

I assume you mean the Israelite army’s new look, not the Canaanites since their helmets are being worn the normal way. I agree that the Israelite helmet looks less strange than my previous uses of backward helmets, and more like an actual new type of helmet. And combined with the matching light gray sheilds and (shortened katana) short swords, it’s a good look.

And of course, great job overall; the pacing and framing of this story meet your usual top-notch standards.

Thanks, Derek. Good to hear from you. It’s been a while.
