I'm very impressed. The track support design appears very elegant, much
better than my feeble attempts. I'd love to know what the construction is
for the ramp supports, and how you support several consecutive straights
with what appears to be a single beam thickness.

I'll admit, it took a while.  Many people say I have a lot of Technic beams
but I still had to be very weary of how I allocated them.  I used a beam and
beam with friction pins or beam to beam with plates above and beneath(1x6
bulk black were very handy).

The consecutive straight sections were difficult.  I was doubtfull if my
idea would handel the load.  I felt ok about going three straights but six??
was a gamble.  I would have used 1x16 technic beams but my supplies very low
so I relied on bulk 1x8 & 2x4 bricks as well as 1x6 and 2x6 plates.  Just a
note, if you look beneath a straight rail, the rail portion doesn't offer
the same clutch means as a regular 1x plate. So the 1x8 bricks were placed
either at the mid point of a track     [-t--r-a-c--k-]      then between the
1x8's is a plate tie,
[1x8 ][1x8][1x8]     either in the middle of the
track or at the ends where I'll attach a 2x4 brick with a 2x6 plate.  As for
the 1x8 brick butted, they are held by the1x6 plates beneath.

And, man, is that a lot of black beams.

My only criticism is to suggest that you supply a single followup-to group
if you're going to post to multiple news groups.
