Re: Santa Maria della Salute in Venice

(URL) (...) Many thanks for your nice feedback! (...) I had some fears about the heat of the bulbs. There are two 25 watt bulbs inside the Santa Maria. And at 1000steine-Land they sometimes where on for more then 4 hours. I lifted the dome time to (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: Santa Maria della Salute in Venice

Incredible! I always admire Lego buildings in (near) mini-fig scale that capture all the details of the Real Thing. It is better than MiniLand, since I can almost imagine getting enough of the right bricks to build one - and have it still fit in my (...)   "Blue" pieces in new Alpha Team set #4742

I recently saw the new Alpha Team Chill Speeder set #4742 [LEGOSet 4742] I looked up the set on Peeron, and it said that the blue pieces are the Medium Blue shade. The pictures on the box really look like the Dusty Blue shade (called "Sand" Blue by (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jul-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.color, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Ground eNforcer Armored Transport

An MOC done over the weekend by accident as the AT-AT was destroyed during the clean up of my sons' rooms. Thrown into the box and later that night I started to assemble it back into shape. Thought about doing an alternate model for it and the (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

  Re: wishin' on a star

snippage (...) snippage I have a hack that does the same thing. This can be achieved using a lenghthwise 1x2 modified plate with 1 pin (jumper plate) and connect a headlight brick on top but connect it to the square hole on the back with the top (...)   Re: wishin' on a star

(...) Well, a lot of the pieces you showed would make sense to complete the Lego system. BUT we are talking of TLC, so waiting for a solution that would make sense is most propably a waste of time. Unless of course they would need one of the bricks (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jul-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.org.ca.parlugment)

  Re: wishin' on a star

You know this 1x2 brick hinge... (URL) I have wished for years that it was also made in a 1x1 style. Could you folks who design the parts consider it? Thank you. Eric Sophie (22 years ago, 8-Jul-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: wishin' on a star

(...) Lots of excellent choices. I've got a bit of a wish list two. a) 1x3, 2xn tiles. Basically, tiles in the same size range as we already have in plates b) 2xn plates with a single row of studs (similar to the 2x1 with one stud) c) ball & socket (...)   Re: Murasaki modular corridor system

(...) I made it as much out of guilt as anything else. I felt really bad when I realized how hard it was to work single-connection modules in at my first MichLUG show, knowing the whole time that my second module was going to be another (...)   Re: wishin' on a star

(...) Deborah (and others) I made this offer awhile ago but had no takers - what the heck, I'll make it again here. If anyone has "wish list" parts they'd like to use in MLCAD but doesn't necessarily know how to author dat files, there's another way (...) (22 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: wishin' on a star

(...) Not at all. Well, maybe with my second guess on #13, but that's a matter of the evidence (i.e. the original mlcad plate that it was modified from) being flawed. For everything else I clearly thought just hard enough, since I pegged them all. (...) (22 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: wishin' on a star

(...) Well, if they made it in an 18 slope even though there's only one other basic compatible piece (I know there's also a triple-wedge, but...), there's always a chance that they might make it in 33 and 45 degree versions someday.   Re: wishin' on a star

(...) I'd say, given that you posted such a detailed analysis of all the parts, with a running point by point commentary, that you're the one thinking too hard, but that's just me. I think a better approach than analysing in depth is to just ask the (...) (22 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: wishin' on a star

(...) Yeah, it does clear up a few questions...though the description of part #17 looks a bit mixed up. As I said earlier, the part you based it on is 2x2x1, not 2x2x2, and you listed it as being "without center stud", when you showed it without the (...)   Re: wishin' on a star

(...) Close, but not quite. I just got the Summer S@H catalog today, and the black faceted slopes used on that mech's waist are 18 degree slopes, but #22a has the proportions of a 33 degree slope.
