The big bridge at Legoworld 2002

However, true bridge comparisons will consider only maximum span length,
or unsupported distance covered by the bridge. Therefore some of these
bridges should rank higher than they are, I just don't know the span
lengths for all of them. Perhaps someone can help fill in the
information.

Seems the longest is also in a single span, so there's no doubt about
the winner (http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=263493).
I wouldn't have thought that you can do this with LEGO.
