Not that it matters, but just for the sake of history...

Craigo (Hamilton) explained some of these headlight brick patterns to me over the phone once about 4-5 years ago, and then we spent some time playing with the various patterns as we talked. What I recall being his inspiration was the appearance of the headlight element in trans-orange. He was very keen on the trans-orange and black combinations. Some time later, he was almost as excited by the appearance of the element in trans-antifreeze.

I’m not positive, but I think I shared this headlight idea with Maggie C. circa the same time period. I’m not sure that she would recall because she wasn’t building original stuff at the time and I was trying to inspire her.

I’m not trying to take anything away from the Rev, just pointing out that great minds think alike. There are only so many ways to stack the bricks together, eh?

(...) ... (...) I've been fascinated with parts that singly can be used to make patterns for over twenty years, but I don't think I ever thought to build anything exploiting that aspect. Kudos to the Reverend for this great inspiration. I got out my (...) (21 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.build)
