I actually built this model back in January, but I wanted to build the police escorts before taking photos of it. After building the hovercycles last week, I finally go around to taking pictures today.

   Limousine with Escort

Of note is the enormous amount of SNOT... all the arches are attached sideways, but everything still lines up flush. Half stud offsets are used to make the steps in the front of the vehicle more gradual. I even used a half plate vertical offset to make the sloping of these parts more gradual:

Please LMKWYT! Comments, questions, suggestions, etc. appreciated.

(...) Wow! I was wondering what you were up to... Some simply beautiful work, Bram. This is the first split cockpit craft that I have seen, and it's really distinctive. The retro front end is a nice work of SNOT. And great use of the LOM glass (...) (21 years ago, 17-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Wow, great amount of features! The front is masterfully done. My favourite would have to be the door handles. Shame about how those canopies don't fit flush, though. The "alpha team sub" half-canopies come in trans-black in some set, I (...) (21 years ago, 17-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Mmmmm...that's nice. That's what I was trying to go for with my Orca armoured limo, but didn't turn out nearly as sleek as this. Those black arched cuves really help smooth out the lines...gives it that classic 50's swank with the daisy cutter (...) (21 years ago, 17-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)
Re: New MOC: Hover Limo with Police Escort

(...) Well done, Bram. I like the police bikes too. The only nitpicky thing I can mention is that the driver's cockpit doesn't seem to be separated from the passenger's area. Rich dudes like to have their privacy on occasion. ;) -Grand Admiral and (...) (21 years ago, 17-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) oooh, a very pimpin mobile. nice upper crust D-zign. reminds me of a Tim Burton, Gotham, kind of thing. my favorite part is in this pic (URL) the silver horns in the back. oh thats fresh. -paul (2 URLs) Paul Hartzog (URL) Et In Arcadia Lego> (...) (...) aK! What a great work of art. I love it. The black-n-silver look... the roundness... the SNOT... the inside... The only thing I don't like are the escorts. I dunno why... I guess the sides just don't mesh with me as much as the Limo. (2 URLs) (...) (21 years ago, 17-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: Hover Limo with Police Escort

(...) Bram, Truly a masterpiece of subtly. It's amazing how creative people can be with a bunch of plastic pieces. I just gotta ask what set that TV came in. I've never seen that before. And where did those silver spokes out of the sides come from. (...) (21 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Hah! You actually used sprues on this? That's hilarious. Anyways, I really like the use of chrome accents, especially around the bumper, with one exception. I think the pair of crossed swords is an interesting concept, but the aesthetics of it (...) (21 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)
