Well, I'm glad I came back to read replies, if only for these two.
As for negative feedback or questions, that's what I come here in search of.
As nice as it is to hear "that's great" it doesn't help me build any better.
When I first started posting here, I got into quite a bit of discussion
every time I posted something. As time has gone by, that's dwindled to nothing.
Contrary to the way I'm sure it seems, it's not just about collecting
compliments. I have the same problem with ANYTHING I post on lugnet. I gave
up asking questions about parts or DATs or availability some time ago for
the same reason.
So look at it from my point of view. I know it's not the subject matter that
puts people off, because there's plenty of discussion about other SW stuff.
It's also can't be time, because look how quickly this second post racked up
responses. So I start thinking it's got to be me somehow. Maybe because I'm
not a full member, or because of where I host my stuff (I did first notice
the cold lugnet shoulder when I moved to fbtb) or because I'm not an
established name.
To be perfectly honest, judging by the ready venom in many of the other
replies, I'm still not convinced it's not one of these reasons, or something
equally arbitrary.
