Re: Multi-story buildings - story height

(...) A story height of 6-7 bricks, not counting the plate or baseplate that serves as the roof [all of my multi-story buildings are constructed so that each floor is detachable, except the base, is detachable, allowing access to the inside] is the (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jun-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: legos biggest mistake is...

(...) I think they're kinda funny. It's also important to note that these are developed in Europe, where they tend to be less prudish about such things. (24 years ago, 19-Jun-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: legos biggest mistake is...

(...) These female figs that are overly, say, developed are digusting. I think we can all see that a fig with red lipstick and long hair(although not so now) is a woman. The new Castle sets looked promising, a female knight and all, but the shape of (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jun-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Multi-story buildings - story height

(...) I think it has more to do with the height of the doors and windows TLC is currently using. When everything was built with 5-high doors and windows, the storey height was 6 bricks. Now that many sets have the new 6-high doors and windows (why? (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jun-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Han Solo in carbonite

(...) Adding my 2c When I found out it was not like the Sarco-Fig from Adventures...I only bought one. I might have bought 5 or more if it was better. My guess is they had a design a with rased Han,but would have made the Slave too big. Oh, well, (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Han Solo in carbonite

(...) I'll second this...when I saw the printed Han, I thought how lame it was, even a coffin lid would have been better. This is a great example of a piece that Lego should have made. James (24 years ago, 18-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Multi-story buildings - story height

(...) What Will said is true; I think TLC mostly uses a 6-brick + floor- plate "standard" unless the height is used for other effects. (...) My (currently) largest MOC, the Bloodstone Inn, is of slightly varying design with stories. The first story (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jun-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Han Solo in carbonite

(...) Why couldn't LEGO have done something similar? I like how you kept it two studs wide. --Bram (24 years ago, 18-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Multi-story buildings - story height

I think part of the story-height equation depends on the type of building you're working on. AFAIK a six-brick height is pretty standard for most official models, which tend to be utilitarian in nature (gas stations, police stations, etc). Something (...)   Multi-story buildings - story height

I've been wondering: what is a good story height for multi-story buildings? I just bought two two-story sets - Fort Legoredo (6769) and a Train Station (4556), and interestingly enough, have differing story heights. Fort Legoredo's is 6 1/3 - log (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jun-00, to lugnet.build)

  More LEGO rocket cars!

Hi. Silas joined us for the weekend, so we went out Saturday night and fired a couple of new cars. You can see our latest escapades at (URL) as funny as last time, but educational. Now I'm off to get the sulfur smell out of my LEGO... Randy (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jun-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: (museum) of AFOL likenesses

(...) Shiri, You should have ask for a blonde hairpiece instead of/in addition to the red one. Then you can have a portrait-fig. Rich (24 years ago, 18-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: legos biggest mistake is...

(...) I think Lego's biggest mistake was making minifig darker. That is, some of those Aquazone-villain-thi...-minifigs, and the UFO uglies. That alone has kept me from buying those sets as gifts. I like variations on mini- fig heads, but I've got a (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jun-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs)
