  Re: bulk ordering is here!

(...) That's ok I still have them. In fact I just placed a $200 order :) KL (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: bulk ordering is here!

(...) Um...yeah. That's a lot of windows. ;-) Has anybody ever experimented with a section skyscraper? Y'know, one that is four sided, with each floor lifting up and off? S. Wiley (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: bulk ordering is here!

(...) P.S. did you see the 8 story building I made out of the K8 at the Fest? (URL) used about 240 1x4x3 town windows :) Too bad I had to take it apart at the end of the fest. KL (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: bulk ordering is here!

(...) I have all my cc numbers + exp dates memorized. :) (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: bulk ordering is here!

(...) all the 1x4x5 black windows :) BTW, after I posted that Denise said "Give me your credit cards" heh. KL (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: bulk ordering is here!

(...) So how many floors are you going to add to that skyscraper(1)? Though I did see what you did with all those metroliner windows. :) -chris 1- (URL) (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.trains)

  Re: bulk ordering is here!

(...) You're absolutely right. Thin walls were around many years before they were ever used in a train. However, I would rather bulk order thin walls than train windows. What would I do with 300 train windows? I could do lots of things with 300 thin (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.trains, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: legos biggest mistake is...

(...) This is hardly a mistake, and even if it is, there's no way it could be considered TLC's biggest mistake. (...) Like Matthew said, they're cute. That's not a flip answer, it's the reason -- the infant-like dimensions of minifigs appeal to (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: New Heavy Mech: Hades

Yes the color definently needs fixing. The over all design seems OK, but one thing that through me off was the legs being kind of skinny, and unarmored looking. Thats just a thought though, good effort keeping makeing more mecha. -John (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: legos biggest mistake is...

(...) Was it? I seem to recall owning a few classic space sets before my sister got her Kitchen homemaker set. What was the release chronology? Some time ago there was a discussion of "first minifigs," but I can't locate it at the moment. Dave! (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: legos biggest mistake is...

  Re: Tsunami

(...) Actually, if you switch Tim's shirt with that of the blue-and-gray pirate minifig (they called him "Rummy" in the comic book that was available for a while; he was in basically every Pirate set and it gets annoying to sift through all those (...)   Re: legos biggest mistake is...

(...) Plus, they're cute. (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: legos biggest mistake is...

(...) The minifig as we know it was originally a baby in another scale. My guess is it was adopted as-is to make large scale building easier (ie, reduce the overall scale) without designing/sculpting/tooling up machines for new figs. eric (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: legos biggest mistake is...

(...) Hey I love the little people. As Matthew said their cute. If you want my guess as to why I think you need go no further than standard LEGO measurements. Both the legs and the base of the torso are 1x2 studs which allows 1. you to attach then (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  RE: legos biggest mistake is...

(...) Who knows...The website is done in the US [and therefore biased towards the american market wittingly or unwittingly], and even then the US pages aren't always acurate. The major problem I see with the pages [eg 'australasia'/asia pacific, (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: legos biggest mistake is...

(...) Odd. Very odd. Why was TLG-Aus advertising them on there website in February of '99 then? I didn't see them on TLG's main site until months later. Even then, it took them quite awhile to be released here. (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  RE: legos biggest mistake is...

(...) And here I was thinking rock raiders were released last year everywhere...The only set that I thought wasn't was the mini-fig pack [4930?] which I'm not sure if it was released in the US [but the US is restricted to sets produced in the US (...)
