| Nice list Brad. I have used some of these myself. One method I have used on occasion is as Shiri mentioned the "support line" which can be used to hold base plates as well as 1/3 high bricks (sometimes a few columns in the centre of the building (...) | Most stock LEGO sets use large, thin plates to create roofs and second-story floors. In some cases (like Fort Legorado, 6769), they have created super-large plates (black in this case) to do the job. What happens when you need to span a LARGER area (...) | this is quite cool, bram. i particularly like the use of pink elements and the bubble over the cockpit/driver's seat. it opens up a whole new range of possibilities (flying versions of classic cars). good stuff! ..joseph g (...) | thanks, john i've also done that color scheme (i call it space police III) for a couple of my own models just for fun. if you liked the sub-theme color-swapping check out roger rothhaar's page, (URL) got some very cool models (mobile outpost and (...) | I didn't know that about POV-ray. The only things I've rendered in it have been floating in space, so I've never tried something hovering over a reflective surface. | (...) Thanks. (...) It's an optical illusion--well, actually, it's probably just a limitation of POV-Ray. AFAIK, reflective surfaces in POV don't actually reflect the light rays that bounce off of them, so no light reaches the bottom of the car, so (...)
