  Re: LEGO Factory sets

(...) WooHoo!... but...what if someone gets these & doesn't have internet access (the boxes say the instructions will only be online)? Or will the sets only be an online Shop@home exclusive? These sets are too good to be limited to catalog or online (...) (19 years ago, 16-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: LEGO Factory sets

(...) Indeed! Congrats to all the winners! If you look closely, all the winners and the name of their entries are identified in orange titles on the boxes near their model. I hope that is also done on the final sets, but I would prefer their real (...) (19 years ago, 16-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: Joe Vig Contest Entry - Joe Runner

I gotta agree with the good Rev. here ... there's something inherently funny about a falling anvil and Janey that is a beautiful little anvil. I liked this vig a lot. Brian Darrow "The Rev.   Re: LEGO Factory sets

(...) Nod. (...) I think it's more than 3... each set seems to be an agglomeration of several of teh winning entries, for example one set has both the monorail city slice AND the Statue of Liberty model... I think that's pretty cool! (19 years ago, 16-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: Joe Vig Contest Entry - Joe Runner

(...) Thank you. (...) You have a very good point there, not really sure why I went with the string. Maybe I should have just mounted it from the side, so when viewing it from the front you can't see how it's attached. Janey "Red Brick" (19 years ago, 16-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: Joe Vig Contest Entry - Window Shopping

(...) You could swap out any male figure for Joe, and it would still be true. :) Is there an open hole there he's about to step into? From the caption I would assume so, but I cant tell if it's a hole or a black 1x2 plate. --Ry (19 years ago, 15-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: LEGO Factory sets

(...) I agree! What Dave says. I need to get me some of those sets 'cos they're cool plus it looks like they're chocked full of good parts too. That means at least two of each, one set to build and one or more sets to "use". JB (19 years ago, 15-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

  Re: LEGO Factory sets

(...) In a word awesome!!! Although I consider most sets as bulk packs now a days, these I may have to build. Unlike most sets, these have interesting building techniques, great parts and subjects that caught my imagination. I look forward to (...) (19 years ago, 15-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Joe Vig Contest Entry - Window Shopping

Can't pass up a "Joe Vig" Contest. Anyway, my I present ... The Dangers of Window Shopping "Oooh, I love walking down 5th Avenue ..." "These Manaquins are sooo hot!" "Wow, looook at that bikini!"   Re: Joe Vig Contest Entry - Joe Runner

Gotta love any MOC that includes a falling anvil. Nice work. My only nitpick is that it might look better to use something other than the black string to have the anvil "falling". It almost looks like the coyote tried to drop the anvil on Joe Vig, (...) (19 years ago, 15-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)
