Re: 2 New Starfighters- Kestrel and Bloodstar II

(...) Thanks for the props, Eric. I did'nt intend to drop out of the community for so long, but I've been working full-time, had my computer crash on me and had to get a new one- which caused me to lose access to my website, and I've had trouble (...) (...) Thanks, Bill. The new and old light grays don't blend too bad- Honestly, I think the combo creates an interesting effect. However, I'm not so sure about the dark grays. Later, Todd (20 years ago, 10-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: SR-71 Blackbird

Ed: The submarine is just about 3 1/2 feet long, 10 inches wide, and 13 inches tall. It is not perfectly to scale compared to the actual Los Angeles class sub, but it is well proportioned for standard minifigures, and especially the vertical launch (...)   "Blue" pieces in new Alpha Team set #4742

I recently saw the new Alpha Team Chill Speeder set #4742 [LEGOSet 4742] I looked up the set on Peeron, and it said that the blue pieces are the Medium Blue shade. The pictures on the box really look like the Dusty Blue shade (called "Sand" Blue by (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jul-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.color, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Ground eNforcer Armored Transport

An MOC done over the weekend by accident as the AT-AT was destroyed during the clean up of my sons' rooms. Thrown into the box and later that night I started to assemble it back into shape. Thought about doing an alternate model for it and the (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

This can be achieved using a lenghthwise 1x2 modified plate with 1 pin (jumper plate) and connect a headlight brick on top but connect it to the square hole on the back with the top (...)   Re: 2 New Starfighters- Kestrel and Bloodstar II

Cool, MOCs, I enjoyed checking them out, but the real reason I am writing this reply is this: I wanted to convey my happiness in seeing you return to LUGNET. I am so happy to see you building and posting again. You have a very cool style of building (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: 2 New Starfighters- Kestrel and Bloodstar II

(...) Thanks, Gil. I would have like to have retractable landing gear in the design, but I don't feel that approach would have resulted in such a sleek look for the fighter. (...) I have similar bias for traditional Lego elements, but when I made (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

This is not the announced mosaic !

Hi all, In MLCad I designed a frame (2 studs wide) for a "studs-up" mosaic that doesn't require any use of glue (!!). Before I actually start building my large mosaic, I decided to put my design to a final test. I quickly filled the frame with a (...)   Re: 2 New Starfighters- Kestrel and Bloodstar II

(...) These are fun, Todd. The Kestral has a nice, slender airframe that works really well with it's 'light' designation. It's good to see that canopy in use as well. The angling of the rear fins nicely breaks up the line and gives it some (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: wishin' on a star

(...) Well, a lot of the pieces you showed would make sense to complete the Lego system. BUT we are talking of TLC, so waiting for a solution that would make sense is most propably a waste of time. Unless of course they would need one of the bricks (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jul-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.org.ca.parlugment)

Anyone have instructions for set #309 (Church)?

I was looking for something on Peeron today and quite by accident stumbled upon this set: (URL) there are no instructions linked from Brickshelf.
