  SAR helicopter found...

A new gallery by "sartechi" has popped up on brickshelf with some great LDRAW renders of a CH-113 Labrador Search-and-Rescue helicopter (aka the CH46 Sea Knight). (URL) nice job! (20 years ago, 17-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.military)

  Mecha Support Rig, Mk2

Since PDX I've been wanting to do a new rig, kind of missed the old one, (URL) So I resurrected the rig. (URL) The focus on the new rig is in field coolant flush and mecha minor repairs. As such there is a cab, a in truck shop, and a bed. On the bed (...) (20 years ago, 17-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX) !

  Re: EBKD Akayev

(...) Wow! Excellent, how can I complain? You are a man of your word and that is an impressive Micro-scaled ship to boot! Nicely done Lenny, great details. I will earmark a space of the "space" landscape for that ship, and any others you are (...) (20 years ago, 17-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

(...) snip (...) Whoah! Very impressive! I'd like to bring a 'mech in for an overhaul, but even my biggest one would look pretty puny in that gantry (plus I'm guessing your facility is not equipped to reload gauss rifles and missile launchers :). (...) (20 years ago, 17-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

(...) Wow, cool! I like the structure around the main mech bay, makes it more like a whole facility instead of just the bay. -Tim (20 years ago, 17-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

(...) Except that Eric's is waaay more detailed than anything TLC would have included. Classic Space, while nice looking, sure was kind of basic. Bob (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

(...) Eric, Love all the little details - the container, the ladders, all the figs at work - and my favorite part, the Classic Space color scheme. At the very least, it looks like it came right from a display page in the Idea Books from the 80's, (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

You are out of control E. 2 Weeks?! Amazing, no matter how long (or short) a period of time it took to build. So many details...and minis running amok...and the scale...you could imprison a small child in that thing. Not that I'm suggesting that. (...)   Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

(...) Wow Eric, Mechs, Cranes, and Pipe wrenches! You really nailed it with this one, I love all the details you packed into there. And the ladders worked out great ;) (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

heeheheh, Wow. I just might have to make a new rig to park in front of this. Love those cranes. The look is great industrial mecha extreme. Cool.... Wish I could be there to see the moonbase. Mark (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Carybdys Class Interceptor

Tom, That's really nice! Any chance of some exploded views / building instructions, for those of us whose brains are too weak to work out the details? I really like the cockpit with the curved opening that echos the curvy-ness of the front of the (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Spiral staircase study and questions

(...) Well, I can't look at .ldr/.dat files at work, so I have no idea what your model looks like right now (how about a pic and toss it on brickshelf?) but I can show you what I did when I built a spiral staircase for one of my Moonbase modules (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.build)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

Yowsers! (As Inspector Gadget would exclaim). Thas one awe-inspiring creation... The scale impressess me, but its the sheer attention to detail that really excites... I love the classic space style, very futuristic yet, retro in a way. I am right in (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

LegoMaster, this is awesome! Wow, the sheer scale of it just blows me away! The complexity and detail is stunning!   Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

(...) You certainly don't do things by halves, do you? This thing is Awesome, both in it's scale and in the details.   Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

(...) Wow, that's massive! Very nicely done. I love the shape of the first floor/support pillars. The way they curve in and back out, and the empty space between them is very very nice. Is there any sort of appreciable interior on it? Like meeting (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

(...) Jeez Eric, that's just plain massive on both size and inspiration. I've told tall tales of wanting to do something like this as an Imperial AT-AT construction yard. This is definitely the execution of those concepts put into work here. Can't (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Carybdys Class Interceptor

(...) That thing is snotalicious! Lot's o' fun in a small package. The 'why didn't I think of that' award goes to the large ball joint thing on the end of the star wars engine. Genius. That idea is going to be STOLEN. Allister (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Overcoming my size issue

Get the jokes out of the way right now. :p Ok, I saw some great mech work this weekend at the WAMALUG meeting, and I got inspired to do one of my own. I got right to work with a concept in my head, and as I tend to do, I kept building on until I had (...) (20 years ago, 15-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  4852 alternate model

I was lucky enough to find two copies of 4852 The Final Showdown on clearance ($12.99 ea.)!!!
