(...) I've found the best method of stiffening ball joints is to insert a small piece of paper between the ball and the socket. Fit it snugly in the socket, then snap the ball in otherwise it tears. SoS, i've tried every thing, ball joints aren't strong enough, click hinges are too clunky...i'm at my wits end.....and the shoulders i'm using right now only stay put because they have jolly rancher squares wrappers in them to stiffen them up... In lugnet.build.mecha, The Sultan of Stack asks: Jacob, what sorts of peices are you or will you be using? My first suggestion is to make the hips almost the same as the shoulders. if it wouldn't be too much to ask, would anyone permit a glimpse at the workings f your mecha's hips? i can make decent looking legs, and even better looking torsos (all mid sized), but it's the connection of the two are freakishly hard to make for (...) Very impressive! I love how you've captured the topography there. However, the scale is soo small that it's tough to build buildings with. I think I prefer your scale in the Ostia MOC.
