Re: First MOC post--minifig scale dropship

(...) I've always wanted to build a mechwarrior-style dropship, the were always the coolest :D VERY nice engines, the xpod tops and even the lt grey barrels are very nice touches! I also like the blue missle packs on the front of the ship, very evil (...) (20 years ago, 19-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  First MOC post--minifig scale dropship

I've been seeing great mecha MOCs on the internet for years (starting with Marsbase and Pallas Spaceworks) and I've finally got some pics of my own to post. This is my big dropship: (URL) I took inspiration from the Talon dropship of the Mechwarrior (...) (20 years ago, 19-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Phoenix from red Xpod

a few days ago, I got an idea for a phoenix, then i saw these great dragons by Leonard Hoffman: (URL) & noticed the red one looked like what i had in mind for my phoenix & wanted to hurry up & post mine before someone beat me to it-thanks to Lenny (...)   New mecha: The Ogre

Well, I'm back again and with a new mecha, the ogre. It started as a study to try and make a mecha that could hold rifles like a human would. I began by building an arm.I tried to give good shoulder mobility, as well as tons of elbow twist range. (...) (20 years ago, 18-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  The Prototype Hunters

Captain Pete Knuckles and The Prototype Hunters have embarked on a mission to circumnavigate the globe in search of the planes that never were. The interesting aircraft that never left the drawing board - and perhaps a few that did! The first plane (...) (20 years ago, 18-Apr-04, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.military)

Re: About a gate and a cross... oh and some new pictures of a temple

(...) I like the flat tiles on the roof, the coffered ceiling, and the trophies (shields?) around the inside. Also the use of corrugated bricks as columns. I haven't been able to think any Lego piece to represent fluted drums like that. My only (...) (20 years ago, 17-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: The latest from Epsilon's Lego Williams range!

(...) I have blue tiles in excess, but not in the sizes I really need. I have white tiles as well, but in order to do some of the trickyness to get the sidepods 1 plate thick I can't use tiles (and the sidepods look really odd if the white is higher (...)   Re: How should I hang this giant mosaic?

(...) If you are really set on a single backboard, I would buy 4 thin sheets of 4 X 8 plywood. Lay 2 pieces side by side to form a 8 X 8 square. Lay the other 2 pieces on top, perpendicular to the first 2, and screw them together. Cut the joined (...) (20 years ago, 16-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.mosaic)

Re: How should I hang this giant mosaic?

<snip> Yes, 4 x 8 is the standard size for sheets of plywood. One alternative is to get (2) 4x8 sheets, and have them cut down to (2) 3x8 sheets. That would put only one seam...oh, wait..puts the seam in the wrong direction... ok, change that...get (...) (20 years ago, 16-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.mosaic)

  Re: Satan Tempts Jesus

(...) Hey, To me this shot just had a very "Dawn of the Dead" feeling (at least the original, I didn't see the recent remake). I imagine all the minifigs heading over to the local Jerusalem shopping mall to hide from the zombies. Bruce (20 years ago, 16-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: The latest from Epsilon's Lego Williams range!

(...) ... (...) You need to use slopes and tiles more, to smooth out the surface. Don't you have some blue and white slopes and tiles? Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (20 years ago, 16-Apr-04, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.technic, lugnet.modelteam, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

Hello all!   Voting started at ISCC3!

Hi all! It is now possible to vote at the ISCC3! I just checked (URL) and saw under "Entries" that voting is possible now. Voting is in German only, but that should not be hard to understand. I just posted a few days ago, that I was waiting for (...) (20 years ago, 16-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: P-61 by Shoeless Joe

(...) Hi Ed When I saw it on Brickshelf I was amazed at how accurate it was. I thought it was definitely worth highlighting. I am just sorry I can't put a name to the model. Chris (20 years ago, 16-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: How should I hang this giant mosaic?

(...) Building an 8x6 panel would take a very simple amount of carpentry skills. 2 pieces of plywood and a border around it made from 1x2's or 1x4's would probably be nice and stable. A little cross bracing in the back for reinforcement and you're (...) (20 years ago, 16-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.mosaic)

How should I hang this giant mosaic?

A local museum has asked me and my students to create a giant mosaic for them to be displayed. I've already created it digitally: (URL) will be dozens of mini-mosaics with a Las Vegas theme all around this giant mosaic.) The mosaic is about 8' long (...)   Re: Storing Minifig Torsos and Heads

(...) Thomas, Maybe some double-stick tape or sticky tack (if it will adhere to the platic) will make a re-usuable fastener. I like the idead of heat-forming the pockets better, if it works. -Brian (20 years ago, 15-Apr-04, to lugnet.storage, lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: I am the new curator here
