Re: Lego Mosaic - Build Your Own - Gone?

Thanks for looking into this, David. The Tiger mosaic looks to have a pretty even distribution of colors, so I'll try to shoehorn my image into this distribution, and minimize the purchase. Here is the giant Legolas mosaic (12 panels) I am (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: Lego Mosaic - Build Your Own - Gone?

Wow... check out this parade float!!

I got this from someone posting at the forums of a game site. (Thanks Darth Mawl) That must have taken FOREVER to build. Probably glued, too. (URL) (22 years ago, 29-Jan-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: MOC: WWII Japanese Heavy Cruiser "Takao"

Richie- Thanks for the comments. I'm just waiting for the next incarnation of the Famous Mister Snottler to appear--they've been getting to be quite amazing, and given the extreme flare of the bows on those types of warships I'm looking forward to (...)   Re: MOC: WWII Japanese Heavy Cruiser "Takao"

Mattias- Thanks so much for the feedback--I think selective compression plus the minifig scale meant that some details (for example, using triple TT instead of the real ship's quads) were in fact sacrificed. But I'm sure it would be very possible (...) (22 years ago, 29-Jan-03, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.boats)

(...) Those are dark gray antennae. It would have been more accurate to use white antennae, but I don't have any, and the only person on Bricklink who has them is in the UK, so I knew they wouldn't get here in time.
